Has anyone heard from Karen McKenny about the video from the Another World 60th anniversary reunion?  I emailed her 2 weeks ago and have yet to receive a response.

My friend Daniel just received the program & the souvenir glass & there was a note that she'd just interviewed the actress who played MaryAnne & was adding that interview to the video.

I am beyond tired of waiting for it but she's mad at me now. In my last email asking her what was up I said it had been too long, the delay, and said GMAB & she said everyone else has been gracious but not me. OY.

It sounds like she is still making edits to the video so I am fine waiting longer for it.

Well, the thing is, she told me about the interview with that actress 3 weeks ago & now has reported it as news to Daniel. But, it doesn't matter. I want the video, whenever! It's not like I have a deadline. 🤔🤣😉

Catching up on the Marianne episodes, I am stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Given John's history with Lee, I understand why he is so hard on Marianne.

I do find it extremely odd (and gross) that Chris is trying to bed an underage girl; however, I have to keep reminding myself that this occurred in '75, so it was probably common at this time. I am picking up that Chris will most likely pan out to be a cad that wants to get in Marianne's pants and leave her.

I am just waiting to see what Aunt Liz does going forward b/c that scene of her catching them and listening on... you could just see the wheels spinning in her head before she goes in for the kill.

Overall, I love the simple stories that create so much drama. I wish that Ariana Mueneker had full episodes from that time.

Amusingly, is there anything more indicative of an actor’s ego than saving only their own scenes? It’s akin to actors who read only the parts of the script in which they appear. However, giving her the benefit of the doubt, she probably posts scenes that she is in to comply with YouTube rules.

How old are Chris and Marianne supposed to be? I thought she was just finishing high school and deciding whether to go to college and Chris was still a college student. So not a huge age gap and not necessarily anything one would raise eyebrows over.

Marianne has finished high school and is preparing for her freshman year in college.  So she is likely 18 years old.  Chris is a college student, so he is probably no more than 4-years older than Marianne.

On the other hand, the age difference between the actors is wider.  I believe Ariana was 15 or 16-years old at this point, and she has posted in her Youtube comments that the actor playing Chris was 15-years older than her.

I think she's trying to stay within the guidelines of YouTube too. I do hope that she has and posts clips from her time on ATWT eventually.

Didn't in one of the clips they said she was on 17 at the time? I am pretty certain they did.

Stephen Yates was already in his 30s?! If so, he looked good for his age.

I don't think it's about YouTube guidelines. Proctor and Gamble don't seem to care about people posting their old soap material so I don't know why YouTube would. It's really only a problem for soaps still on the air. Sony will yank Days material down in a hot second. Whole episodes of GL, ATWT and AW have been posted for years.

I don't think her only having scenes she's in is so much about ego as it is about the fact that she's not a fan of the show. One thing I've noticed over the years is that we expect actors to be into the shows as much as we are. For a lot, if not most, of them it's just another gig. They're not necessarily soap fans or even a fan of the show that they're on. Whereas we fans of the shows would want whole episodes, an actor might only be interested in the scenes in which they worked.

It has probably been 10 years now since YouTube did that massive purge of ALL GL videos!!! When all of the Bandstand Mike videos came down & people found out that he sold hard drives of GL & took people's money but never shipped the drives. I have no idea if Procter & Gamble was behind that, though, since YouTube does not require that someone have standing to make a copyright claim!

And, the company that made copyright claims on my Classic DAYS episodes was neither Sony nor Corday.

The last person who made claims against my account was not a company at all, just a person. Since some of them were GH Kraze videos I wondered if it was an issue of bigotry.

Don't most actors keep clips of their scenes sort of like a resume? I don't see how it is an ego thing.

It's not an ego thing. Many soap actors of the classic era went out of their way to keep copies of scenes they treasured via kinescope or otherwise, believing they would never be archived or seen again. We know Jacquie Courtney here and Ellen Holly at OLTL did this with famous scenes and episodes, particularly with the Carla Gray story which was hugely important. We'll be very lucky if any of them eventually surface, as so many other clips and eps have.
