I do agree, he seems to have bounced back. But the dude has a statue of his dead wife and unborn baby on his grounds, her picture hanging on the wall in his living room, drops his champagne glasses, and goes on a mini-rampage accusing Nikki of gaslighting Ashley?!? This is like when Nick "got over" Cassie's death, had a ravenous affair with Phyllis, refused to give up the evidence to clear Daniel, then ran after him across the friggin' country.

Adam knows Victor's not completely healed. This is specifically why he's using Sabrina to taunt and haunt Victor but using Ashley as the cover up to remove himself from the list of schemers.

And either Estella's in this or she's collateral damage too, which would really make Adam a jerk. But great TV LOL.

The pacing is all wrong and Victor should've stayed in the dark place a bit longer, perhaps. However, I remember watching his downward spiral and wondering when the hell he'd get out of his funk. Watching depressed people is really boring. I'm glad he wasn't morose for any longer than he was.

I remember a few months ago when Ashley and Nikki bumped into each other at the Athletic Club, when Nikki warned Ashley that she was the rebound woman. Nikki was totally right. Victor ain't gonna get over Sabrina any time soon.

And, of course, when he does, he'll go right back to Nikki.

I don't want to see a morose Victor, but I'd like to have seen more of his vulnerability, more of what he has to lose. There's so much emphasis on how strong Victor in comparison to the meaningless, feeble people around him. I think they missed a lot of beats by presenting Adam as so pathetic (which means there's no doubt as to who will win this struggle in the end) and by cutting down Nikki's screentime once she moved on with her life. We could be seeing her happy with Paul, truly in a good place, upping the stakes if Victor ever did want her back. Instead, we barely see Nikki, and when we do, we're frequently reminded that she can only ever want Victor. I think there's a strong reluctance from Y&R to invest in any point of view which does not go along with Victor being the end all and be all.

I've heard this and I do give him some of the blame (or some might say credit, if they're enjoying the story - I know most fans probably are, as it has some good moments), but I've never seen Victor's story as this lopsided until now. The changes in Nikki are especially jarring.

MAB has teased that MTS, ED, PB and EB are going to be involved in a huge s/l. They've been laying the groundwork and i have a sneaking suspicion where it's going. I think you'll get what you're lookin for from Nikki.

I do tend to view the stories through Nikki's eyes, which means I'm more likely to bellyache if she's not around. If there's good stuff coming up for her then you're right, the groundwork will be worth it.

Yeah, good points.

I like that Adam was pathetic when Victor trounced him. To the unaware observer, again, he's the least likely opponent, as he told Victoria on Wednesday. But as the schemer, we see that he's finally grown into the man that Victor demanded of him. What a revelation if this were to be the case. Those scenes when Victor basically spat in Adam's face for being a punk will have been very effective in the end.

And when I watch television, the end result is never important. But that's just me. It's like Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Every season, no matter the foe, you know she'd be victorious. But how she got there would be were all the magic lie.

IMO, happy people are also boring to watch on soaps. Witness: Lily and Cane. So, the less of Nikki and Paul, the better to me. The fact that there are sparks Nikki sill holds for Victor is interesting to watch. How she acts on these emotions is a different story, even though it's not hard to guess :)

And I'm an EB and Victor fan so I like it when Victor wins. <shrugs> Even if he didn't, though, I think he should in this case. IMO, he has every right to be an a** to all these people, except for Ashley. Everyone's betrayed him. I'd like to see him hate Nikki for years to come LOL.

I cheered Ashley as she laid into Gloria. Gloria's bug eyes when she realized that Ashley was pregnant was hilarious.

Jack is such a sap. I can't help loving him. MJ is sooo going to do something to Sharon and her baby.

When did Summer become a giant?

That little girl Summer cracks me up because I don't think she has ever cracked a smile or shown an ounce of enthusiasm onscreen. When Nick said "Summer was really pumped about seeing her teacher", I was like really? That's pumped? That little girl looks like this <_< bored as hell in every scene lol.

    • I would submit to you that she doesn't need any more excuses, not when it comes to Bill. But, I am one fan who thinks Bill isn't done with Dani & also the reverse is so. Those two, IMO, are locked in some kind of toxic but  irresistible vortex. I'm not saying we're going to have scifi. Just the personality kind of vortex. OH!!! Thanks. I don't do Y&R. But I totally understand anger even frustration with Josh.
    • Any chance you could share this episode to the vault? Please.
    • @asafi @yrfan1983 Jennifer Brooks death was September 1977. A recap of it is here
    • a reference to a mystery character on Y&R named "Aristotle Dumas" who has been discussed a zillion times in the past few months but never seen.  Not mad at the character.  Mad at Y&R writer Griffith for the annoyance. Mentioned to point out the annoyances of Y&R in contrast to enthusiasm for BTG.
    • It also seemed like she wanted an excuse to go over Bill's and yell at him.
    • The number 1 rated soap, and no one seems to like it. I don’t remember the last episode I watched. The Damian story was the only thing keeping me watching but I just gave up on the show altogether again.
    • Not all friends are alike though and there should be a counterbalance in some friendships on soaps. Dani has already been all over the place enough and doesn't need an unstable friend.
    • I was finally warming up to Eva but today, that girl, what in the world was she thinking, crawling back to Mama saying she was under a lot of pressure. Pitiful. And, just what did she get for her trouble? Rebuffed, totally. Anastasia, she can go kick rocks. Who needs her & what was she wearing? I'm surprised to learn that some people did not have an appreciation of Dani & then Anita, right after, at Theodore's. I thought they were both right on the money & also sharp, witty.  Ted, of course, is playing at being Impervious Man, which is very funny & he takes it one step further, making all these declarations of his intent to woo Nicole back & win her trust again. I find myself laughing so hard at him & at how he has totally misread his circumstances. He has zero chance but wow he has so much confidence. This I find to be so humorous, possibly unintentionally so.  Edit to add: What does Alexander Dumas have to do with anything? And why are people seeming to be mad at him?
    • They feel like a bad Three's Company parody.
