Y&R: Week of May 04, 2009

Forget the Emmys! I want them to co-host a talk show! "Good Morning With Mumbles and Phuckup"!

Bell shows have a different power structure. Y&R did, until Bell retired, and then Kay Alden and Ed Scott hated one another and tried to impose their visions over the other. Later Jack Smith being made both HW and EP, and the same with Latham, and now Maria.

I was mostly referring to Rauch at other shows. OLTL and GL clearly bore a Rauch stamp during his tenures at those shows. AW, less so, since for most of Rauch's tenure there, he had the storytelling genius of Harding Lemay, but even Lemay said he had to bully Rauch to get certain things through.

I there the EP/HW realtionship should provide some type of balance - so one clearly doesn't get too drunk on his/her power and control of the show. But when both the EP and HW are bad, yeah, I guess it makes little difference.

I'm not wowed by here either, but it takes a lot to wow me. I do hope they keep her and give her a real chance, since I like her so far and I think she can grow into the role.

And if not her, then maybe her hair could? Seriously. I look at Clem with her extensions, and all I can think about is Sissy Spacek in the third act of "Coal Miner's Daughter".

But it looks better than when it was super short and that dull brown color. It still needs to be lightened a bit. Better to let it grow out naturally and do highlights.

I liked her scene with Chloe today. I love that Mac is being written true to form. She's mostly a good girl, but she will get her little jabs in when she's pushed too far.

Billy's reaction to Sharon being pregnant was all I had hoped for too.

I never said she "wow"-ed me. LOL! Just that I would give her a chance for a few months.

I think they have to be doing it on purpose, or there's no talent in the hair department. I saw some photos of CF out at an event in LA with the extensions and it looked great.

Hair on the show, not so much.

I like CF as Mac, but the re-do of Mac and Billy isn't working at all.

That isn't what I'm talking about.

It's the way it was styled when it was short that screwed ford. Her hair length is only a little longer than chloe's and jill's and they're both done up to the nines. I think it was intentional and I hate the entensions.they don't fit mac's character. Paris hilton wears extensions not mac

MJ's gonna get that baby! Wonder when she's going to have a convo with Nikki, too.

Adam's fast becoming a bona fide villain. At least he's finally getting some mojo back and not being pathetic. I've come to the conclusion that as long as he's not 'poor me' and pathetic - I'm ok with him being dark.

Why do people keep saying this?

Because she's a psycho with a baby-complex and she's jealous of any of his ex-wives and the possibility of him having another baby will really rattle her cage.

That's what I missed somehow. When did we see she has a baby complex?

I wasnt wowed by her either. I have not been yet.

Of course it would help if she was given a scene to try and wow us with.
