I can picture the headlines on my CBS Daytime e-mail alerts:

"Brice Beckham -- "Wesley" on that TV classic Mr. Belvedere! -- joins Y&R as Lab Tech #1!"

"Also: Y&R Celebrates Earth Day! A Very Special Episode! Featuring Jewel (again) and Katy Perry (again)! Take a Peek at their environmentally-friendly Restless Style shoot!"

"Peter Bergman speaks out on Y&R's decision to no longer use blood diamonds! 'I was sick of wearing them anyway!' "

"Eric Braeden and Christel Khalil speak to us about their HOT new storyline! 'I find a super-cool cure for Victor's Alzheimer's,' reveals the actress. 'And then Victor -- and Zapato! -- help Daniel work through his porn addiction!' "

Colleen wakes up -- thinking JT is still her boyfriend! And craving a skinny decaf latte from Crimson Lights!

Victoria confronts her -- in the Break Room! Clutching a cup of skinny macchiato. Because Victoria cannot liiiive without her skinny macchiatos! And Y&R under LML couldn't live without showcasing its characters drinking coffee in the breakroom and at CL -- and talking about all the great coffee they are drinking.

Within a week, the "SL" is wrapped up in favor of Mac and Chloe's decision to run for the state Senate. Mac runs on a green platform, of course. Neil runs on an Obama-style ticket but, of course, drops out of the race as a favor to Katherine.

OMG! Y&R would be SO cutting-edge! This is ripped-from-the-headlines stuff. As LML once said, write about what you know!

Then Sheila shows up as Danny to reintroduce Lauren to her singing roots and poisons the sponge on her microphone that causes Lauren to become Queen Psycho-Bitch of Genoa City.

She goes on a killing rampage, unbeknownst to everyone in the city, offing a few minor characters (Eden, Tyra), then Mac. Everyone suspects Victoria, of course, because she just ripped all of Mac's clothing, jealous of the relationship JT rekindled with Mac. Then, JT admits Victoria into a psych ward where one of the wards push her off the building by accident.

That's November sweeps, all developing, climaxing, and resolving in two weeks. Stay tuned!

Well, why don't you start some? I had a great line about a "conical burr filter" ready.

Seriously, I am one of those who have been intrigued by nu-Mac since she came...I think she's an interesting choice with an inner life...she brings complexity. I like the idea to pretty her up a bit (hair extensions, lightening)...but she just seems like she fits in to me.

As I type this...PAUL!!!!!!!!!! Where ya been, man?

Yes, Heather needs to go, and Vail's acting just sucks worse each day. And really, I don't even think she's all that pretty anymore, her voice is so squeaky and unattractive, not to mention that hugmongous mole that she should have lasered off.

This girl isn't tough at all, she's another one that seems like she's playing dress up in grown women's clothes...

Vail has no screen presence, at all.

Tracey Bregman is one of those actress who really evolve. She has really stepped it up acting-wise in the last 25 years...

Therefore it's so sad to see her reduced to wallflower material most of the time. But right now: The real Lauren is back and I love it.

ETA: Vail Bloom is not the greatest actress but one good thing about her is exactly her presence and charisma.

Ok.....

I hate the way people can be in 2 scenes back to back that are in two different places. I'll use today's show as an example, the way Mac was at the bar and then in the very next scene she was in the Chancellor mansion answering the phone. I'm starting to warm up to Clem as Mac more and more though.....

I can't stand her as an ADA and the only time I've actually started to like the character outside of her scenes with Adam is when she was working at Jabot.

I've been complaining about that damn mole since she started and it still bugs me to high hell, it always looks like if she bit her upper lip hard enough she could bite that thing off.

    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
