As always...

*anxiously awaits GL's ratings* :D

We had three amazing days to start the week and two *eh* days to end it (for me anyway)... but I'm hoping they at least maintained if not gained a little...

GL has been such a part of my life for so many years that I just can't imagine it not being... and I'm hoping that blind item in DC was GL... but we still need ratings.

The ABC Soaps had a monster day in Chicago on Monday March 2, 2009 with the Chicago Public School students having an off day there. I have the Friday February 27, 2009 and Monday March 2, 2009 local ratings for the TOP 5 markets in the nation along with the ratings for St. Louis, Atlanta, Detroit, Cleveland, Charlotte, Indianapolis, Denver, and Ft. Myers, Florida. If I have time later I will post them. If not today then tomorrow for sure.

I second that. Its gotten to the point where I really don't care about the state of the shows, I just want them to go up so that advertisers can continue to have confidence in the soaps to live on forever.

Definitely post them tmotvsoaps as those ratings gave me a better outlook than the national ones did when it comes to seeing how soaps are actually doing compared to their early morning counterparts.

I enjoyed GL last week too as I actually thought it was their best week in three years. Its this week with the high school reunion stuff that's a drag to watch.

I wonder how many viewers are even going to stay around to watch the high school reunion. They show that promo at the end of every episode, but all the way up to Wednesday, there was barely any story about this in the episodes. People who tune back in to see Mindy or Phillip or the old days get a faceful of Grady.

The Otalia story is keeping the episodes afloat while some of this other mess is going on. I hope they will keep viewers involved.

Here's yo Y&R and GL to go up. Both have been great.

I hope ATWT drops to last place. It doesn't even resemble a soap anymore. Between the horrible writing, and the fact that no plot takes more than 3 days from inception to climax, then is completely forgotten.... Well, you get the picture. Nothing short of a complete changing of the guard can help my favorite show.

Days was also good this week - it deserves its ratings.

I'm so sorry but LOL at the 1.6! Fire those hack writers already! I feel like slamming Ellen Wheeler's in head into a wall. What is in this woman's head? A solid rock?

Overall, it looked like it was a bad week for soaps. I'm pretty sure this week's ratings will be good.

    • Looked like Blake Berris sneaking out of the frame at the beginning of the video.
    • So if I'm clear, for 1978 we've already missed the weeks of March 20, April 10, April 17, April 24 and there will be 3 more missing?
