Josh is back - that should spark at least SOMETHING?

I'm just now starting it...so we'll see how it is. Kate Hall wrote the show - so it has to be pretty good I'd think.

Oh - Opal is back on today with Erica. Nice!

Well...only 3 minutes in and I've already heard from Erica "My daughter Kendall" and "My daughter Bianca".

It was good! :)

Erica and Reese were cute. Glad that's finally settled down and there's drama with Josh instead of Zach. Erica being kind was refreshing.

As for Josh, I felt so bad for him. I've always liked Colin and this is pretty bad what they're doing to him. I get that he feels Zach isn't good enough for Kendall, but what did Zach do to land Kendall in the hospital bed? Can someone refresh my memory? Or is Josh just saying he wasn't there to protect Kendall the night of the tornado?

Frankie and Natalia have amazing brother/sister chemistry. Much better than Frankie/Cassandra. I really like Natalia. B)

Jesse and Randi were cute. What a great in-law dynamic.

Aidan didn't annoy me today. Glad to see he feels he owes Annie. That couple is gonna be cute when she's not off her rocker. :P

Well, that's everyone that was on that is important or whose names are worth uttering! ;)

I know I am in the minority, but I loved the Kane siblings before Pratt and Erica as their fierce MamaBear. I loved what Josh brought as the male Kane (other than Kendall's kids) and his relationship (once he got over his Babe sickness) with Erica, Kendall, her kids and even Zach. Josh and Kendall had SO much in common and it fit, IMO. They both are/were BSer and schemers, both had beef with Erica, both told it like it was, but usually paid for their crimes and personality issues. And they saw this in one another and felt comfortable letting it all hang out when pointing out each other's crap as well as supporting each other. I really wanted that to continue because the Josh I saw before Pratt was a character *I* wanted to get to know, but was never given the chance.

Hell, even his relationships with the Martin's had some meat that could have been fleshed out due to Tad and JR. It really makes me sad to see it all end... but I do wish that Josh was also going to mention the Gabby mess, before it all blows up, but I doubt if anyone really will until Kendall wakes up.

So many missed opportunities with this show...

ETA:

I think that is what we may have been expected to get from this... I guess.

I enjoyed seeing Jesse today and he was doing more than seeming befuddled as he has with Rebecca, Angie and Natalia situation.

I've enjoyed seeing Annie again.

Sinclair is tres unusual and very arch. Perhaps we should christen her The New Dr. Chesty since Eva's never coming back.

I am sap enough to like that Aidan's trying to help Annie a legitmately ill woman.

Loved all of Erica's scenes today. I can get enough of Opal and Bianca with Erica. The Reese scenes were good too, you could tell Reese was totally buying every word Erica said. Major easy mark. I ain't buying, LaKane.

Love Bianca staying strong to Zach the big burly mobster casino boss. I am weary of the whole Reese Zach Bianca dynamic. We've been in stall cycle there.

Josh's revenge sounds like David's revenge. They both are blaming the husbands essentially for the consequences of acts of nature. The CleansingTornado of 2008.

Colin's very good at a mischevious grin.

Natalia is growing on me. I didn't like the actress much at first but I can see her character fitting in well if mommy ever goes bye-bye.

I'll take more Opal scenes with Tad and Petey, too.

I agree with you here. I rolled my eyes today when Josh kept blaming Zach for Kendall's condition. I understand he is angry as hell, scared, and ready for revenge...but he shouldn't be blaming Zach for Kendall's coma.

:( I don't get the inside joke on this one...

    • I know Passions used this trope with Ethan and Sam to drag out the paternity, but GH seems to speed through certain stories while dragging others.

    • Agreed, that there was some strange choices in the episode, especially at the end, but overall, that was some great drama that opens up the potential for so much future storyline. Kat vs. Eva having the most potential, especially over Tomas. I have mixed feelings about Martin/BC though. I thought he did pretty well in scenes with Smitty/MM, but the scenes of him confronting Leslie and of him throwing the books were bad lol she acted circles around him.  It’s similar to what Harding Lemay said about George Reinholt at AW; he could be brilliant in one scene, but then mediocre in the next.
    • I know some of y'all really like Brooke Kerr, and so I've tried to give her a shot, despite her frequent flat line readings and distracted "did I leave the front door unlocked?" facial expressions. But lord, she is so bad at playing a tough-talking badass that I was actually rooting for Brad today to spill the beans to Drew.
    • Googling does tend to ruin it.  For those of us who were teens in the late 1970s and early 1980s, you can't imagine how much fun it was to watch the show in the afternoons.  (It came on right after school.)  There weren't any "spoilers" at the time.  We would always try to anticipate how each crime and each mystery would be resolved, and we were ALWAYS wrong, because the stories are filled with so many weird twists and turns.   The head writer (Henry Slesar) and his dialogue writer (Steve Lehrman) invariably toss genuine clues directly into your face in the most unlikely ways, but then they provide a host of "red herrings" to completely confuse you and send you off on the wrong path.  Once the story reaches its conclusion, all you can think is Why didn't I figure that out weeks ago?  lol
    • Does the vault have the original scene and not the short flashback?
    • I appreciate that you are using AI with the knowledge of it's limitations. Some posters take everything it produces as fact.
    • And of course Mama Ru herself appeared on All My Children.
    • The Saturday 8pm slot usually had the lowest rating of the NBC 4 sitcom lineup for some reason. NBC let Saturday night fizzle, They used 9.30 pm to launch 227 and Amen, both of which moved to earlier in the evening but they  kept Empty Nest following GG for several seasons.  Empty Nest should have moved to 8pm with their strongest new sitcom at 9.30, anticipating that GG would eventually falter. Instead they left them there and stretching the sitcom pool too thinly on other nights. When Grand talk over at 9.30 Thurs maybe Night Court and Wings could have been used on Saturday.
