Bianca mentioned Essex, CT today. Do you think the show will be going on location? The town has a website and I can see the show doing something there. It seems like a nice place to have a wedding.

The next Peapack?

Really enjoyed today's episode, and agree with Kubla Khan's comments. Beth Ehlers is such an amazing actress and really gives it her all, I just cannot get invested in this Taylor character..... its too bad. I am not sure what Pratt can do..... I guess try to integrate her with the cast more...., but she just doesn't seem to gel with anyone.

Opal is totally taking Krystal down :D I am gonna love seeing Krystal as a pariah again :D Its what she plays best.

OK - that word - slut - is officially overused here.

Why?

Because every character on a soap opera is a slut. To be a soap opera character, you must be a slut.

See my point. Everyone on this soap opera is a dumb ho.

Now, to get to your post...

Well Annie's not a slut....lol. 2 and a half years and has only maanged to bed 1 man.

Grief, in the real world, doesn't operate under the fixins of a neat, tidy little bow. Tad, frankly, has been an insensitive ass since Babe died. I believe he told her basically that she needed to "snap out of it." She's incredibly vulnerable and screwed up...and can only find comfort in the man who happens to be the father of her dead daughter. Irrational? Perhaps. But what I like about this story is that Krystal seems to know what an [!@#$%^&*] David is, and she seems to know how twisted their relationship is, but she finds herself going back for more because he's the one grieving for his dead daughter, too. I find the story so interesting because of the dynamics at play.

And if we're going to point fingers at Krystal for being a ho and giving blowjobs, then we might as well line up the whole damned cast behind her.

Tad tries to help and he's insensitive. If he does nothing, he's a bad husband. Its a lose lose situation for him and he cant win. He was stuck between a rock and a hard place. It must be incerdibly hard for him to watch her in so much pain and being depressed all while knowing there is nothing he can do to fix things. The way she's been dealing with things, especially with David has been extremely unhealthy for herself and destructive. She refused to see a gief counseler as suggested to her. She yells at Tad and blames him for things which are not his fault. She wont let her family help her with her pain. What Krystal is going through is terrible and no parent should have to go throughout that but the fact is she is still a mother with 2 young children at home. Tad needs her to find a way to try and move on for their sake. Babe is gone, but Krystal's other daughter is here, alive and needs her mother. Krystal, unfortunately has put her on the backburner. Its difficult for everyone close to watch Krystal pull away from her own daughter so she can run off and cling by David's side.

That's a little extreme. No way has the whole damned cast given blowjobs to doctors they met five seconds before just to fudge a pregnancy test. Krystal takes the Grande Supreme Ho prize for that one.

Wow. Those Brot/Taylor scenes were amazing! Whatever one's feelings about Beth Ehlers, I think she's been a stellar scene partner for "newbie" JM. He's really stepped up with her and she's shown a remarkable sensitivity and depth.

I did quite a little fangirl squee at that kiss.

And can I say for the record that I really liked today's show. Kate Hall did a nice job. I liked the balance; how the screwed up Wildwind antics were played against the warm/touching Brot/Taylor scenes today. Beth Ehlers rocked the crap out of this episode, IMO. Well done!

Agreed.

Loved Opal and her having something real to do. I really find Krystal's story very very intriguing. I agree with others that she's not being written unrealistically (at least in soap opera terms, the number of druggings for example, are a bit much). But her inability to find comfort from her husband or anyone really made her desperate for any bit of break from her all-consuming grief. Sometimes your loved ones truly cannot help you, sometimes grief can consume a person or turn into outright mental illness. Our feelings aren't always convenient for our loved ones. It is actually horrible for Tad (I admit I find myself having little sympathy for him the last few years) but he hasn't done anything to to Krystal to justify being cheated on or losing her "love" as they knew it anyway. But a terrible trauma, a death of a loved one interdependent as Babe and Krsytal were can change everything for the person grieved. Maybe their both getting their relationship karma for sins against Adam.

So yeah, some of the themes or scenes may have been repeated too often (a soap opera staple), I still find myself fascinated by the story. Krystal is now and always be easy. That's true. So it's not even OOC for her to get her "comfort" the way she has. But it's not been as simplistic as sex and I get the feeling she's going to have pay for her mistakes. In their way, David and Krystal really are reaching each other and help heal each other. It will just create a lot of destruction in the process. I still look forward to Tad's return and see how things go once the battle lines are truly drawn.

I think Brot and Taylor were tremendous. So sweet in the best of ways. A nice respite from the contentiousness of some other lives in PV right now. I really hope they get these characters, integrated in the cast so they'll have a chance. AMC needs a woman like Taylor, who's more blue collar, more regular gal and the UnFusionGirl. Make her a cop, stat!

I agree with marceline, that Beth Ehlers should be given some credit for bringing a lot of acting experience with her and that had to have helped JR Martinez. He improves daily and has a command of the appropriate emotional beats. She's done a lot I imagine over the years and while not saying she's in his league or anything, like David Canary has helped countless newbies, BE is helping JR Martinez up his game.

Reese is totally clueless about women if she couldn't figure out she better get her ass in the car with her lady and drive on to CT. I am glad Zach made a passing effort to not give advice. The laser looks coming from Bianca to Zach when he walks in Casa Slater killed me. I actually rooted for Rylee for a day and never thought I could say that as they dispensed some good advice. From who's ass they pulled it, I cannot say, but it certainly couldn't have come from Ryan and Greenlee, could it? Back off, Dr. Phil-Zach!

I damn died laughing at JR's gun blasts and Shut up, Shut up, Shut up!:lol:
