Was there any point at all in the Brooke/Ridge "wedding?" There was no priest, no justice of the peace. Just them sitting there by themselves, and that over-the-top drawing of their names of course. Yuck.

I'm slowly getting used to Eric and Donna. I didn't mind their part today. The Pam working at FC thing is going to be easy to predict, Donna will freak out and Eric will want to give her another shot especially since she made that bikini. Hopefully Pammy can keep some of her sanity this time.

And...they clearly established...no PHOTOGRAPHS.

In other words, NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER.

So, here is what I think is going to happen.

Ronn Moss is going to take a long holiday to Australia or something.

So Ridge is going to have a terrible accident and be comatose. (Yes, they just did this story with Eric, but B&B likes to recycle). Brooke will want to make medical decisions, but Stephanie will stop her, and Taylor will save the day.

Pushing it further, when the coma is over, Ridge will be regressed to 10 years ago. He will only remember being with Taylor. (Yes, LML did this on Y&R in 2007, but B&B likes to recycle).

Absent ANY evidence of a legal marriage to Brooke, Ridge will 'feel' married to Taylor. And this will sow the seeds of the next chapter in our riveting, never-ending love story.

There is a REASON the writers scripted "zero evidence". What is it? We'll soon find out, I'm sure.

The only good thing about the above story is that it will all be wrapped up in about six weeks.

All this hoopla over a crocheted bikini??? *eyeroll* Not to nikpick, but whoever wrote that obviously doesn't realize you can't mass produce crocheted products.

That dress Brooke wore was horrid. And what was with that huge heart in the sand?

B&B hasn't had a truly good looking wedding since the 90s. Out of the newer generation of weddings, I don't think that there hasn't been one that wasn't cheap looking in some way. So out of the newer wedding, it was aethetically prettier than most. Hopefully that will be a start of a new trend. Now they only have to find likable couples to go with the weddings.

The last actually pretty, non-cheap wedding was, I dunno, James and Sheila maybe?

That said, Brooke's hair looked ugly and stringy.

It looked like another "wacky" idea Brad Bell came up with to differentiate between all the Brooke and Ridge ceremonies. Y'know..instead of numbers, there's sandheart, Nick-goes-KingKong, bird santuary, yadda yadda. If it had looked like something Ridge and Brooke had done themselves, instead of a giant cookie cut out, maybe I would have thought differently.

    • yes. today Monday's episode started with words displayed "part 1" and ended with "to be continued"
    • I find Missy Reeve's views offensive and I don't want to defend her, but I don't think she ever said anything publicly about Days "gay content".   In fact, I don't think she's ever said anything negative about Days at all.  There's no indication Missy is difficult or unprofessional on set-except for the whole affair thing years ago lol-but that's a whole different topic. I can dislike Missy as a person and still think she's the perfect fit for Jen.  Cady tried and it didn't work for me.  Whenever Missy steps into the role it works.  It's a two things can be true situation.  Missy has some bad opinions, but she's great at playing Jennifer.
    • Doesn't the funeral go into Tuesday
    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people. Edit to add: The reason this may be impossible to source, and therefore of no use, is because it was not a public statement. She is supposed to have said it at the show, about the show, to colleague/s, one of whom repeated it in public, but that is convoluted to try to track down, so feel free to ignore. I did do some looking & I am not optimistic.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.
