Sami wanting Austin all of the sudden is crazy!

and talking about getting pregnant with Austin kid. It was just a couple weeks or so Sami was telling Lucas that she doesn't have feeling for Austin when Lucas asked her! CRAP!!!!!

I am afriad to think what Days will have in store for christmas...

Boring crap, I tell you! I am glad at least some fans are enjoying this cause I SERIOUSLY don't see the appeals of these storyline!

Most improved Show went out the door quickly............

Me niether.I didnt even thought the show deserved be the most improved show since it was crap all year long!

Btw,I love your christie Banner.too bad I dislike Carrie,they should have never brought her back for THIS!

so not looking forward to next year..all filled with Boring stories that will drag forever,then suddenly rush and end quick when they will realize most of the viewers dont care and then start yet another crappy group of stories.

It is 1995 redux. And I don't know about anyone else, but I want my characters and my show to evolve over time, not remain static. Even worse, the show seems to be regressing with this storyline which is just insulting to fans.

Does Jennifer see Jack's "ghost", or is it the real Jack hiding in the bushes? It is just [!@#$%^&*] stupid!

I think the least J&J fans deserve is Jack being home with his family for Christmas - if I got that, I could put up with the inevitable triangle in 2006.

And, as for the rest of it, I couldn't give a [!@#$%^&*]!

Thank goodness I've stopped watching DAYS!

Y&R and B&B rock, in comparison!

I think everything sounds GREAT except for the Jack and Jennifer material. As for the Austin/Carrie/Sami stuff, sounds great, can't wait and the Marlena/John/Alex stuff sounds great.

Also who wants to bet that Victor agrees to help Kate keep the secret about Claire's paternity. I LOVE it, Vic and Kate teaming up together (lets hope).

The Jack/Jennifer storyline is beyond dumb. You know I can't see the appeal of these two but I think the reason is that ever since they were brought back the writing has been so lousy I just can't take them seriously. Because everyone seems to love them! So I don't get it...it has to be the writing.

It definitely is the writing. I can see where people who aren't old JnJ fans are coming from because if I had just watched them since they were brought back--I don't think I would see the appeal of them either. Old JnJ fans feel very strongly for them because of their history. Most old-school JnJ fans believe that their love story was the greatest one ever told in daytime history--I know I do--and that is what makes us so loyal to them. That makes us root for them despite everything, even through the craptastic writing of the last few years.

I am excited about what's coming up, just somewhat sketchy on the Jack stuff. Honestly though, its been great to watch unfold so far.

IIRC, they actually did mention Lucy in the final season and that she was travelling in Europe (which was how she was written out on Dallas for the second time).

Looking back...Primetime Ratings from the 80's

1982/83 and 1983/84 CBS had a successful Thursday line up with Magnum, P.I.; Simon & Simon; and Knots Landing but NBC's 1984/85 comeback put an end to that.
The Cosby Show weakened then slaughtered Magnum, P.I. and Magnum, P.I. was moved to Wednesday 9 pm.
Cheers weakened then clobbered Simon & Simon and Simon & Simon moved up one hour where it was DOA vs. The Cosby Show. Simon & Simon moved back to 9 pm but the damage was done.
Knots Landing was winning the time slot vs. Hill Street Blues but with the move up one hour it was weakened by Cheers. Knots Landing moved back to 10 pm but then NBC moved L.A. Law to Thursday 10 pm and Knots Landing was further weakened.
CBS would not have another successful Thursday 8-10 pm line up until 2000/01 with Survivor and CSI.

All a sign that The Cheatin' Heart is making a comeback. Roman's pub quiz starts scaring off customers because he gets really oddly anal about it (just look at how much he had to explain a simply concept) and Bonnie buys the old Cheatin' Heart to reopen, kicking off #PubWars2026.

That makes sense regarding the writing.
If this even makes sense, I view Budig as my first Michelle (I only saw the very end of Miner, but clearly didn't have the emotional attachment, not seeing Marueen's death). So having a new Michelle (like fans did with Budig coming in) is hard for me. But, for my Michelle, I never would have wanted her to get involved in the mob. I'm nervous, but also kind of intrigued, to see if I'd be into this mob thing or not. I say that because my soap knowledge tells me Danny and Michelle were super popular, so there had to be something special there... but I don't normally enjoy mob-style stories.

Both times CBS moved Knots to 9pm they followed it with a female lead drama - Jessica Novak (reporter) Nurse, and Kay O'Brian (surgeon).
All flopped. Knots stayed at 9pm in 81/82 and Nurse took over at 10pm doing better than Novak but there were a lot of bts issues with that show.
When Knots finished its run that season CBS went with Cagney & Lacey at 9pm but that didn't work so Simon & Simon was tossed there and bingo ! CBS solved that Thurs issue allowing Knots to head back to 10pm the next season.

Any Sara/Dean Bradford fans, this is your episode. And Elizabeth with the shortest haircut I can remember on her. (she and Jackie really went through the hairstyles)

The writing has to take it's share of the blame re: Budig's Michelle. I'm not sure even Lenz would've been the Michelle I'd envisioned, but she comes closest to it. But Michelle never really escaping the mob influence before being shipped out of town was disappointing to me. Of course, I was beyond caring by the time St Alban leaves, but still.
