SONG

“Another Way to Die,” Jack White and Alicia Keys/Jack White, “Quantum of Solace”

“Down to Earth,” Peter Gabriel/Peter Gabriel and Thomas Newman, “Wall-E”

“I Thought I Lost You,” Miley Cyrus and John Travolta/Miley Cyrus and Jeffrey Steele, “Bolt”

“Jaiho,” Sukhwinder Singh/A.R. Rahman and Gulzar, “Slumdog Millionaire”

“The Wrestler,” Bruce Springsteen/Bruce Springsteen, “The Wrestler”

YUCK if THAT wins. Horrible Bond song. I guess it's okay by itself, but not with that movie.

No, it's the American Film Institute Awards. It only recognizes American films, which is why Slumdog Millionaire was omitted (it's technically a British film).

Another vote for Slumdog here! Great, great movie. Also recently viewed Milk and saw Wall*E for the second time today. Holds up really well on repeated viewing.

Revolutionary Road is cutting it pretty close. Won't even be in wide release by the end of the year, but I guess that doesn't really matter.

Anyway, saw Benji Button. I really thought Brad Pitt did a good job. I usually take everything he does with a grain of salt just because people are so ga-ga over his looks. But he really did well in that movie, IMO.
