It shouldn't be common but... apparently.
A bunch of unqualified idiots who accidentally invited a reporter from the Atlantic to their group chat about actual war plans that they carried out.

The incompetence of all these governmental idiots is just ...

I thought Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic did a professional write-up.  He said what he witnessed and how badly things were run.
Yet he waited until after the war event happened, and didn't give out names of secret intelligence operative(s) whose name(s) were inadvertently revealed to him.

This whole chat group story with the journalist from The Atlantic is absolutely insane. And the hypocrisy from the people involved is on a level that is out of this world. Pete Hegseth was screeching like a banshee about Hillary Clinton's emails, but now when the shoe is on the other foot he's trying to discredit The Atlantic and Jeffrey Goldberg and denying this whole thing.

And Trump of course knew nothing..... To be fair, that I can actually believe. But for someone who spent years painting Biden as incompetent and not fit to lead, it doesn't paint a very flattering image.

"I don't recall".....

Totally unbelievable. You can see the panic in his eyes when he tries to figure out what to say. I'm stunned by the incompetence and the blatant bullshit the comes out of this idiot's mouth. I'm glad Jon Ossoff doesn't let up and keeps hammering away at him.

Someone please stop the madness!! This woman is clearly completely deranged.

I don't understand what's happening. Every day you hear a new Republican make some absolutely insane statement. Like the idiot who wanted to rename Greenland into Red White and Blueland. It's like we've all fallen down a rabbithole like Alice did, but instead of ending up in Wonderland we've ended up in Nightmareland.

(I didn't post the full-sized bsky video because it's so horrific and auschwitz-like.
This small screengrab is horrific enough).

All the stuff in the article is terrible, so I suggest don't read unless you have a safe person to comfort you after reading.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.

I'm sorry but I'm a glutton for punishment. Would love to see this woman OWNING the canvas. Telling off Leslie who tells her she's the head b!tch.
    • And in case anyone is confused; Rusty was hired by HB to work undercover and infiltrate some gang sabotaging Lewis.

    • The Dallas finale was the highest-rated episode since October 9, 1987 (Gone with the Wind). Prior to the finale, the last Dallas episode to finish ahead of a new episode of Murder, She Wrote was October 23, 1987 (Tough Love). Prior to the finale, the last Dallas episode to finish ahead of a new episode of The Cosby Show was February 22, 1985 (Shattered Dreams).
