Members Maxim
I'm at this stage as well. Can't even drink water right now. I have work tomorrow and I may call in sick. The waiting is driving me nuts.
Administrator Toups Posted November 6, 2024 Author Administrator Share Posted November 6, 2024 Replubicans flipped a senate seat in West Virginia. Damn. As much as Joe Manchin gets crapped on, at least he wasn't a Republican.
Members DRW50
That seat was going to flip no matter what - Manchin was the only one who held onto it and he likely wouldn't have this year, especially as the popular governor was running for the GOP. Based on the results so far tonight I am worried about how much else Democrats may lose. The best to hope for might be keeping the losses narrow. Members Liberty City
If Kamala claims NH/NC/VA like she's projected that could be key... but Trump is leading in the usual States..... stilltoo soon, but damn. Biden won Georgia in 2020, but it seems like Trump is leading in 2024... ouch.
Members DRW50
If she loses NH or VA, which doesn't seem likely, that would mean it's definitely over. The issues are NC and GA. I don't see her winning those.
Members BetterForgotten
It all comes down to Pennsylvania, if she loses that, it's all over for her. I hope she can prevail there the most.
Members Liberty City
As of right now, she is significantly winning in North Carolina by about 42k votes-ish. If we can claim Arizona, California & Nevada like Biden did, I could have some high-hopes. Florida is close to claiming Trump (no surprise).
Members DRW50
That's the very early vote - it's not going to stick. If she does somehow win I'll certainly be happy. CNN is also saying she's worried about NC (and GA). They seem to be counting on PA. Not great. I think CNN was saying she needs 700K or more out of Philly to win PA so that makes me nervous. Members JaneAusten
In Georgia there have been bomb threats in Dekalb and Fulton counties where they had to evacuate precincts. That's why voting times in those counties have been extended.

Members Liberty City
60k lead in North Carolina for Harris. Early counts show 200k votes for Trump over Harris. smfh. Pennsylvania would be a good win for her. Winning NC/VA would semi-level out losing GA.

Members BetterForgotten
Ohio is a good consolation if she can't win GA.
Members DRW50
What's more worrisome is she seems to be underrunning Biden in a number of areas in Virginia and New Hampshire - she will likely win those states but that doesn't bode well for swing states. I am hoping Sherrod Brown would hold on but that's not looking great right now either. Edited November 6, 2024 by DRW50
