Only conservatives ever thought FOX was a new organization. Study after study (whenever this topic is studied) shows that FOX viewers are the least informed viewers of any media outlet. Even people who get their news from Jon Stewart are able to more correctly identify names and facts when tested. The fact that republicans embrace this propaganda operation speaks to the ethical and intellectual bankruptcy of republicans, all eager to trick every fundie and hick as long as it gets a vote.

I wouldn't think so, given that Kirk was never hyped up to anywhere near the extent Edwards was.

A shitty jobs report today, which is par for the course in the Obama economy. Barry, in a display of extraordinary leadership skills, absolves himself and blames Congress (apparenty, the president doesn't realize that the Democrats control one-half of Congress):

The number of jobs created in April has also been revised downward, and the Dow had its worst day of the year (closing down some 274 points). Of course, when Obama loses, the far-left will say the real reasons for his defeat were SuperPACs (which Obama also uses), "racism," and "homophobia."

In other news, Michael Bloomberg will ban all super-sized sodas in New York City. If this isn't nanny state politics, I don't know what is!

I highly doubt that Donald Trump's support will be helpful to Romney. It's likely to do a lot more harm than good. Even George Will cannot see any upside for Romney choosing Trump as a surrogate.

Doesn't that make Romney clinging to him even more bizarre?

Some in the media are even praising Romney for this strategy, saying that he gets to appeal to the base without having to say the words himself.

The main problem with the economy is that as long as we keep focusing on what we have to cut, nothing will ever improve. That's all we ever hear about. Cut, cut, cut, cut. Both parties do this. Where has it gotten us? Where has it gotten Europe?

What in the hell is the man supposed to do when these vile, disgusting Republicans won't even bring the jobs bill to a vote. You get tired of hearing what he's supposed to do...when the same people gave W. a pass. "You can't blame it on him. It's Congress fault." Now it turns the other way.

And let's spend our time as Republicans passing bills that curtail a women's right to do anything, voter suppression (Since they're so gung ho aboput winning, why cheat?) banning whatever they don't like and then lying to the American, or as Mitt says, Amercia, people.

And if the Democrats had any semblace of a spine, maybe this crap wouldn't be happening.

If Democratic voters could be counted upon to turn out to vote, the Republican party would have been voted into oblivion over a decade ago, or at least forced to redefine itself to not be so psycho. Democrats are forced to pander to the middle because liberals suck at voting, whereas conservatives are quite good at it.

It's pretty sobering what has become acceptable and highly praised behavior for a politician. I think those who spent years tiring against "PC" helped create this culture, where you can just be blatantly racist and have this passed off as bravery.

    • It definitely flowed beautifully. So much that I was annoyed when Vanessa/Doug because I wanted to get back to the party. I know it was intentional to build up tension and suspense. It worked. lol. I'm glad it was there in hingsight because it gave us that great conversation between Doug and Vanessa. Foreshadowing? And yesss!!! This episode was sooo old school soap giving beat after beat after beat leading up to the unveiling of Eva as Ted's daughter. And we still have plenty of fallout/aftereffects to work through.   Speaking of...Bill, Bill, Bill lol. Good to have confirmation HE was the scary lawyer.   I'm sure I will have a busy Monday, but I can't wait for it. I don't know what I'm looking forward to more. Probably Anita vs Silk Press Sheila tbh. And yes, I feel they will be matching each other 'blow for blow.'
    • And if they go there, it could also be tied to Johnny completely cutting him off, possibly going to work for Titan, etc.
    • @AbcNbc247 maybe it is just that they've gone to that well too often, and I don't like when DAYS goes dark, but I'm OK with EJ abusing drugs, and just skipping the whole sobriety part. Side note: experiencing hallucinations of my son killing me would be enough for me to never want to take a pill again.

    • Part of the reason that Courtney worked at OLTL was because the show had an actual character for her to play.  One that was somewhat different than her character on AW, and after the way she was treated over at AW.. it had to have been nice to be courted onto a new soap that actually valued your contributions.
    • I figured the "long" was already implied

    • The show has finally figured out the correct scene to have at the end of the episode. The one thing I loved about the show today was that we got a pretty decent length scene of Silk Press Sheila at the celebration without any cutaways.  It reminded me of an old school soap opera scene that would run several moments (i.e. Renee's long speech going after the upstanding citizens of Salem on Days in 1983 before her murder).   I think Anita and Silk Press Sheila would be evenly matched.. she would be the one person that Anita would have to work to get the best of.    I do agree that Derek/Ashley were probably cut from the episode.. and maybe their scenes will be used in a different episode.  The scenes that were included (Bill/Hayley and Vanessa/Doug) had something to do with the scenes going on at the party.    Unpopular opinion:  I actually prefer Bill with Hayley.. .they make a good couple.
