Like I said in an earlier post, its amazing we are still debating this whole thing.

Its so 2004. If it wasn't for J.R Bianca would not have fell off that balcony. She is justified in going after him on that.... even if it makes her a sanctimonious bitch. Who isn't a sanctimonious bitch on a soap opera?

xtr,

I am not saying this about you. This is just a general statement in regards to Bianca and how she is treated now on many boards.

Bianca has always been a well loved AMC character in very much the same mode as Dixie was. Yes there were some haters but not anything like she gets now or like Dixie got the last go around.

I said when I read the spoilers that Bianca was going to be pregnant by Zach that it wouldn't be long before the hate posts started. And it didn't.

What is being said about Bianca here is very mild to some of the things I have read about her.

What is strange is that Bianca's character has not changed - just like Dixie's didn't. but because both ladies moved into the realm of interloper or almost interloper into a beloved couple - now they are hated.

And I still hold that it was because of the hate mail and posts that Dixie got that the powers that be felt Dixie was expendable. What they don't realize is that to appease one fan base they angered another fan base and alienated that fan base in a way that can never be waxed over. They lost a portion of viewers that they will never be able to gain back.

I am just impressed so far with Pratt and I just hope to goodness that he does not give in to the hate and sacrifice Bianca in the same way that the former writers sacrificed Dixie. If it happens this go around AMC will lose me as a viewer forever.

I love the character of Bianca. She is one of the last true heroines that the soap opera genre has. I love now that she is flawed and has done somethign that makes her more real. And I can't wait for the fallout. But Bianca's character has not changed. What made her loved by so many before is still there - the only thing different now is that she is threatening Zach and Kendall.

The sad thing is that Bianca is getting all the hate in this when it took 2 to make Gabrielle. Where is the hate for Zach. he betrayed the great love that he and Kendall are supposed to have. If that love is so great why would he lie to Kendall in the first place and keep this from her. If anyone deserves the hate in this it is the sanctimonious Zach Slater.

Great post Steve! I agree 100%.

Loved the entire episode. I get so jazzed watching MCE having CrazyAnnie doubling down once again. The stuff with Greenlee while Ryan stood there bugeyed was awesome. It's just great soap fun. I love Rebecca but she still seems like she's coasting a little outside the Erica and Kendall stuff.

Really like Angie and KWAK's friendship and have been enjoying Pratt's version of Krystal. Her husband, Sad....wow, is he truly Sad now. Thought Darnelle was more involved in his work in those terrific scenes with Angie. Damn, Debi Morgan is good!

The scenes with Tad and Aidan were the most enjoyable for me in a while. Aiden Turner really really trying to act lately. Good on him. He's been greatly improved as a character under the new regime, imo.

David riding Jake's ass constantly? I like it. Don't like Jake as a doctor, he used to be at least competent and now seems deeply incompetent and haughty on top of it. Good thing Dr. Dave is assisting...for Aidan's sake.

I do love Eden and Jacob interacting. Wish the friendship between Binky and Junior could have held, but still love how the actors engage. Thought Bianca and Reese's dance was HOT. Loved Tamara's reactions as Reese to the kids goofing off and some of Bianca's revelations/reactions.

I am wondering if Bianca's over-reaction, guilt and stressors will lead her to losing it for a while as she's done on occasion? Remember the birdseed bags, the ledge, the voices, etc. She's cracked before under the weight of secrets (even ones she wanted to keep). Welcome to the Kane Family, Ms Williams. Good luck, godspeed and have good insurance.

Really good episode. Interesting that Pratt has brought back the old technique of repeating most of the final scenes of the day before in the prologue.

I like that he's done that. That's what I expect soap operas to do.

This is the same thing a lot jump on ZF for, the judge and jury aspect of her posts, meh.

A big part of the reason I fell for both Bianca and new Kendall was Bianca and Kendall's relationship. I don't like Bianca much anymore because she did something horrible to her sister, a sister that loves her to death and one that would have done anything for her, for shallow reasons not because she's threatining "Zendall." There wasn't much attractive about the preachy "saint" in the last few years even if you take this away, but inclusive of it makes it worse. I'm not going to love Bianca no matter what she does because she's a rare lesbian or a rape survivor or because she's a sanctimonious self-declared saint anymore than I loved Babe because the writing was telling me she was goodness despite her actions. The action is being compounded by the writing faults here that are befalling everybody involved. I don't think Zach is the s*it either, but I do admit them playing up the grief aspect is making me a little less annoyed with him. I think he's as responsible as Bianca.

David is really obnoxious already, I wasn't expecting to be meh on him so fast.

Loving JR and Amanda. I have a feeling this will be Amanda's first real big relationship and I'm hoping Pratt does well by it before blowing it off. I don't want the it happened off-screen spin here.

MCE was fabulous on Monday. CM was pretty good on Friday and not terrible yesterday. I'm ashamed to admit it but the A/R section of Quad may be my favorite storyline right now. That came out of nowhere, like I said I wasn't expecting David's story to dud so fast.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying. I don't like Bianca and I have never really liked her in the past. I think that she is spoiled, sanctimonious and selfish, she uses emotional blackmail to get what she wants, etc.... She's got her bad qualities just like everyone else, stuff that makes her unlikeable to some viewers and now some of those qualities are really coming to light in this storyline with Zach and their baby. And I don't like how a lot of the characters view her as a saint.

And while most of the time I don't really like Kendall, I think that what Bianca did to her was awful and totally undeserved. In spite of what Kendall has done in the past, she did not deserve to be betrayed like this by Bianca. She was willing to die for Bianca, she was humilated for Bianca, she didn't go after Babe because of Bianca and then Bianca turns around and has a baby with her husband for IMO, one of the dumbest and most superficial reasons ever. And on top of that shows hardly any remorse or guilt for what she did? Bianca sitting around smiling, giggling with Zach and Reese about how they came to the decision to create Gabrielle, while her sister is lying in a coma, partially because she tried to protect Bianca and Gabrielle during the tornado, doesn't elicit sympathy for Bianca for me.

Kendall has done a lot of bad things and she's definitely has her share of bad qualites. I think that she can be very neurotic, she can cut people with her words, she can be very jealous, a lot of stuff that causes me not to like her most of the time. But she's become someone that for the most part is not a selfish person and she has been very unselfish when it comes to Bianca. So I definitely don't feel like she deserved this from Bianca and I don't like Bianca's attitude about the whole thing. She doesn't seem to care a whole lot about what she did to Kendall, she acts like she was entitled to Zach's sperm, her reasons for wanting to create Zach don't really make a lot of sense to me and IMO, are ridiculous.

The fact that she waited over seven months to tell Kendall about what she did with her husband behind her back is ridiculous. She should have never done this to Kendall, she should at least have asked Kendall about how she would feel about Zach giving away his sperm. And if she didn't think that Kendall would say yes, IMO she shouldn't have asked or done it. Her reaction to this whole thing is ridiculous as well.

I dislike Bianca for quite a few reasons, and I'm going to call her out for the bad stuff that she does. I do think that she like any other character has the right to dislike certain characters because of the things they have done to her, and sometimes she will be right about some of the things that she says. But I still dislike her. I admit that she has the right not like JR for the stuff that he's done in the past to her and her family, but I thought that she went overboard yesterday in the way that she talked to him and I do think that she is santicimonious in general.

And I hold Zach responsible for what he did as well. I think that he's definitely a big hypocrite who likes to aid Damsels in Distress, often to the detriment of his relationship with Kendall. He spent months lecturing Kendall about not keeping secrets and honesty only to be keeping a secret this huge and devastating from her. He knows how insecure Kendall when it comes to men and love, and he knows that she doesn't like to "share".

I don't understand why he would think that she would have no problem with him going behind his back and fathering a child with her sister, and being betrayed by the two people that she loves and would do anything for. And his reaction to what he has done with Bianca, is bizarre and annoying. IMO he doesn't seem to really be feeling guilty about what he did. He is acting very upset about Kendall being in the coma, but I don't think that he is showing really any guilt about the betrayal.

I think that Zach used to be a really good character, back when he was more of an underdog. He used to be a lot more sympathetic, he used to understand and acknowledge that he did messed up things sometimes, but I felt like he didn't act like he was a lot more superior than some of the other characters. But now he's changed, he acts like he knows better than everyone else and he's become really hypocritical. I feel like his character has really gone downhill.

I am enjoying most of Pratt's storylines, but I don't like the Bianca and Zach storyline, I think it's awful. JMO.

I agree with Steve about Bianca. Bianca is my fave character on AMC. It remains that way. I continue to enjoy Bianca and love her relationships with Erica, Kendall, and the rest of her family on the show. That will never change and this is the reason I have tuned back into AMC this time around. Eden Riegel is superb!
