Soaps have been going too far with the musical montages these days. The more you have them on, the less significance and emotional impact they have. This isn't The Hills, but then I should save that particular rant for a GL thread...

I'm sorry...but what kind of doctor cannot tell the difference between a STILLBORN baby and a full term healthy baby.

This just ruined the whole baby death for me. I am screaming at the TV..."Why can't you tell the difference, you stupid worthless doctor?"

Blair, Starr & Marcy are acting the heck out of it in spite of this.....so.... if they all see this baby...how will they know she's a different baby, cause they rushed her (baby Hope) out of delivery so fast. ARGH!! I hate this kind of blatant stupidity...not even gonna go to the Tess/Bess delivering her own dead baby and then driving & walking around like nothing happened. Yeah right.

Am actually enjoying McBain telling Marty the truth...finally....go John...she's a mother!! woo hoo!!

"You have a son!!!!"

**sigh** this show.....love it hate it but still watch most of it.....

(sorry...had to rant. LOL)

Rhino, please. My "personal" opinion is that she is a horrible actress. I feel the same way about Bree. I do not know her. It is not personal. I do have a life.

I have no problem with people liking her. I would love to hear what they like actually..

I find her completely unwatchable. And unbelievable in any scene requiring genuine emotion. And it is also the show's fault for not even bothering to put glycerine in her eyes during scenes where the script calls for crying.

Susan Haskell is her polar opposite.

And if you have the right to have her picture in your avatar, then others have the right to speak their opinions. I felt her performance on Monday was terrible enough to warrant mentioning. I invite anyone to watch Monday's show on Soapnet and give me their differing opinions.

It is funny how we can rave endlessly about things, but when we have negative things to say- we are met with responses like "We get it, enough, the point has been made." "This sounds personal!"

Whatever.

Sounds like you loathe Melissa Archer. For a moment I thought I was imagining things. I don't care if you do. As you said, to each his own, but loathing someone sounds personal IMHO. I don't think SH is so awe inspiring. She's certainly capable, but I don't think she's as good as Kassie De Paiva, JMO. I would never say I loathe her or any other peformer. That's personal in my opinion and no performance inspires loathing.

I rarely respond to your posts. I didn't respond to you in this case either, although I agreed with Mulder. You have made general criticisms of the younger cast, but you consistently single out Melissa Archer day after day. Inever defended her to you, precisely because you're entitled to your opinions. In fact, there are times when I actually agree with you regarding specific performances. I have on more than one occasion admitted that MA has weaknesses (as do all the performers). So pick apart each and every performance since you loathe her. I got it.

    • yes. today Monday's episode started with words displayed "part 1" and ended with "to be continued"
    • I find Missy Reeve's views offensive and I don't want to defend her, but I don't think she ever said anything publicly about Days "gay content".   In fact, I don't think she's ever said anything negative about Days at all.  There's no indication Missy is difficult or unprofessional on set-except for the whole affair thing years ago lol-but that's a whole different topic. I can dislike Missy as a person and still think she's the perfect fit for Jen.  Cady tried and it didn't work for me.  Whenever Missy steps into the role it works.  It's a two things can be true situation.  Missy has some bad opinions, but she's great at playing Jennifer.
    • Doesn't the funeral go into Tuesday
    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.
