Nelson Branco invaded my privacy On Gold Derby

  • Member

Well I will tell you this that as you saw on Gold Derby that Nelson Branco first of all is total wack job. I am done with debating him and anything he says. Then he did something totally invasive as a board member, he worked for theenvelope.com and then proceeded to go through my personal info I registered with and post my email address without my permission. That IMO is a total invasion of privacy. You would think all the personal info you would register with would remain sacred. He had the absolute gall of finding my info because he thought I was someone he knew or someone that he knew that was after him. To put my email address without my consent is just abhorring. I have contacted Gold Derby about it because NO member of any board should feel there personal info will be disclosed without there consent or permission. Your personal info should be scared, that is like posting your credit card number for everyone to see online. This reveals the type of critic that Nelson Branco is and what a quack he is as well.

Ehhh, it's the internet.

What does an entire post on this accomplish anyway?

IMO both parties are wrong.

It's true that in creating this thread the only guarantee I can have is eventually Nelson will come here, read it and get upset in some way...

Nelson loves the drama!

LOL especially when there's thread after thread about him or his column(s). He's getting what he wants: Attention-be it good or bad......

I like Nelson's column and I read it every week. I think he may have crossed the line here if he used his admin priveleges to post someone's e-mail address. He DID apologize though and I think that's saying something. i welcome provocative voices in soaps and he's had some good scoops. If you don't like him, don't read him!

Well I won't be visiting any of his sites or any site that he has access to as a result of this. I'm glad Johnnybro brought this to everyone's attention.

Unfortunately, this is more than just a matter of divergent opinions. He opened the site owners up to some fairly unpleasant liability issues. Plus a journalist (or whatever he is) who can't keep private information private is worthless. Who is going to believe him when he says a comment is "off the record" when he pulls a stunt like this?

I'm sorry, but Nelson has never been discreet about any of his professional dealings. He's always agitated!! He puts his personal opinion in and feels personally attacked when there isn't agreement. Maybe if he just did his job and left the personal commentary out, he would be able to remain professional in all situations.
