Now, were Louise Capice and Laurie Ann's mother sisters? Reason I ask is, Laurie Ann refers to Winston Grimsley as her grandfather, and I believe Winston Grimsley was Louise Capice's father. So was Winston also Sara Karr's father? Were Sara and Louise sisters?

I believe they were step-sisters. Louise's father Winston married Sara's mother Mattie.

It’s really weird to me when people root for Dani and Bill given all we know. Hell at the start of the show he could barely stand to even be around her but I guess none of that matters because the actors have chemistry. 🙄

I agree. They just have Nicola, who is more like Shirley than a Mitchell (if Shirley wasn't so broken). I know some want Honey to be a Mitchell matriarch but that's never going to happen.

Yeah, I wish she would return permanently, I guess she doesn't want to? It's a bit of a shame, as I do think the Mitchells misses a female presence since Ronnie, Roxy and Peggy died. I still think they should introduce Courtney Mitchell as a regular character.

It's not like VM's Tony Geary before his death, elderly, crotchety and in Amsterdam. Nor is she a Shemar Moore, happily busy in primetime. She's around, she's popular and it's very plausible. It won't happen because Frank doesn't want it to.
We're whining about Paevey because he can't act, never could, has no real character but FV likes his pecs. So he's back and is part of a story that is eating half the show with a score of annoying characters. I enjoy a lot of GH these days and think it's stronger than it's been in years but it still has serious problems, starting with that huge umbrella story and most of its major players.

Regardless of the problems on GH,I still think it's the best soap running right now. It holds my interest more than any of the others.
As far as Maxie is concerned, I get the complaints about Kirsten Storms and Ryan Paevey's return, but is that really that big a deal? I mean, we're whining about someone who's off canvas and about a guy who's not in that many scenes.
I also wish I had a dollar for every time someone mentions Brenda returning. I don't see it happening, and I don't understand why we talk about it as if it's plausible. There's no indication of that.

R.I.P.: Anthony Geary has passed away

They should just air the 1983 episode where Luke says goodbye to Port Charles from 12/26/83. It's full of flashbacks and him saying goodbye to Bobbie, Robert and Holly. It might give the current audience a slight clue as to why Luke was so popular in the first place.

I think Lilley took the job as a temp and thought it would be a few months at most. It ended up being well over a year. Kirsten kept delaying her return for health reasons that were so vague and then got mad the character was still going strong and fired up her fans. It basically soured me on Maxie in general and I think we all know I really, really wanted to support John/Marlena's only child in any soap capacity.

That is what I remember as well. Jen clapped back at some people in a way that was in fairness unnecessary, then both Kirsten and Farah got involved and stirred up the fans even more. Which was the part I found really egregious against a temp recast who was there what, the better part of a year? Longer?
Kirsten was lucky her job was still there to return to in '12, and Lilley did hard work. idk who it was here who said FV openly considered killing Maxie off when he first came aboard during this period due to the long absence.
