It's not just the hair toss like she's "such a bad girl", but it's also the sexy slinking out of the frame that seals the deal.

And can I just point out... Jill is wearing the same exact dress in both of those opening videos! LOL!

I really wish Y&R would just scrap this opening. For me, it's old and tired and I would love to see something new.

Y&R is in dire need of a production revamp, and the opening should be the first thing to be redone...

Jess Walton's HAIR TOSS is heaven. She's hot. She should definitely grow it out, the short hair looks fine but the long hair is to die for. Would easily take 10 or 15 years off her.

And boy did she ever have chemistry with David Tom! Even in the opening shot they just have this mother and son vibe. Those were the days!!!

I'd be fine with that if they added the actors' names.

Nadia's theme is classic but the porn theme is so dynamic. The major cast members had two shots and had different emotions for each. I wish they'd use it again.

And Sharon case has two endearing little head tosses in there too, especially the one with her cleavage all out there.

Loved Shamar's intense gaze and walk toward the camera.

Miss Scott.

Hate the way they dwell on MTS until she smiles LOL.

Love the shadows of MTS, Eileen, and Lauralee in their ball gowns before they themselves appear on the screen.

The show's opening is not like those of the others soaps that can just be easily updated without looking cheap...

I seem to remember either David Shaughnessy or Jack Smith saying in 2003, when the current opening was introduced, that it would be relatively easy to update, especially compared to the previous one that seldom was updated. But as you say...

I think TPTB have been more concerned with more pressing troubles in the production lately besides the opening...

That's probably the case, if I had to guess. Updating the opening before concentrating on the gaps in the overall quality of the show seems pointless to me.

It's totally RODONK that two-time Emmy-winner and 18-year contract VETERAN Kristoff St. John isn't even in his show's opening.

Off-topic, but I watched AMC and it seems like half the people in their opening (Julia, Josh, Ava, Lily, Palmer, Myrtle, Dre) are either unused or not with the show anymore.

If they have so much trouble updating it, they should just have a 10-second opening with the logo.

Because even if they come up with a new opening, it would take them years to update that one too.
