Here's mine:

I miss Mark Collier and think he was a terribly underappreciated actor. I want him back on ATWT!

I like Katie Peretti on ATWT and always root for her.

I like Daniel/Chelsea on DAYS. My mom says it's her favorite DAYS couple since Liz & Neil Curtis.

I watched Sunset Beach but never considered it to be a good soap opera.

I enjoyed Hogan's stint on DAYS. Just wish we'd gotten more of his vision and less interference.

I love Jill Farren Phelps and think she's a fearless producer. I'll follow her anywhere she goes, though it's always been impossible for me to get into GH.

I think GH has always sucked donkey balls, even during it's supposed glory periods in the 80s & 90s.

Kim Zimmer is a crap actress and I cannot stand her or Reva Shayne.

Flannery > McKinsey

I'm enjoying the Holden/Carly affair on ATWT. I surprised even myself- when the spoiler came out, I planned on thoroughly hating it, since it seemed out of character on both their parts. But I can't help but enjoy it.

I don't think Noelle Beck is so awful as Lily.

Strasser > Slezak

I never have, don't now, and never will like Christian LeBlanc or his acting. I say bring on Lane Davies as Michael Baldwin!

I have a couple more...

- Andrea Evans is awful as PRESENT Tina. Her work this week has proven that to me.

- One Life to Live is the worst produced soap, running on mediocrity, and just slightly beating the Light.

-The stories may be interesting on OLTL, but with the exception of Dorian Lord (those Dorian/Mel scenes were top notch), the rest of the characters are either uninteresting, one-note, or played inconsistently. A lot of couples/characters lack an emotional connection with the audience. I felt nothing when Nash died, could care less about Jessica's grief (Bree Williamson is to blame as well), and was joyful when Sarah/Christian went over the Falls. The actors need a better understanding of how to play there character, because what's written in the scripts rarely transcends on to the screen.

- I'm not Kim Zimmer's biggest cheerleader, but I think she's highly taken advantage of. People say she's a bad actress, but I don't see it. She's done excellent work during her tenure on Guiding Light. This is coming from a past Zimmer hater, but I've forced myself to realistically and unbiased evaluate her work, and yes, I was impressed.

- Nancy Lee Grahn is the best underworked actress on daytime. If she had a better role, she would be racking up Emmy nominations annually (despite her not-so-good tape selections to actually win them lol). It's a shame that she's never won an Emmy for her portrayal of Alexis Davis. To me, she's a better actress than over half the actresses working today, and that includes the elite Flannery.

- Stuart on AMC should be killed off. It's one of the worst dual roles on soaps.

- I love Bobbie Eakes, and how she never backs down. She plays what she is given, and plays Krystal with a firm grip.

- Sabryn Genet's crazy Tricia, was better than Cynthia Watros crazy Annie. Make no mistake, both actresses were sublime though.

Now there is a fierce unpopular opinion. :D To me, there's simply no competition between Flannery and McKinsey. Beverlee simply leaves her in the dust, her entire daytime career was unbelievably genius.

After reading through the thread most of my unpopular opinions are already taken. So maybe that makes them not so unpopular after all. :P

**Amen to this. Amazing how certain rabid fanbases can not only ruin your enjoyment of a character but your appreciation for an actor also. even though it isn't the actor's fault that their fans are so rude and obnoxious.

**I like Adrian Korbell and I think Eyal Podell is a good actor when given the right material.

**I hated Amber until Phyllis starting scheming against her....now I love her.

**I love Eric Braeden and never fail to enjoy all of Victor's antics on Y&R. I also will always take his side in whoever he fights against...whether it's Jack or his ungrateful children and ex-wife.

**I loved Robert Kelker Kelly and I miss him on daytime. Not only was he handsome he was a fabulous actor!

**I can't stand Kirsten Storms' acting. She's probably a nice girl and all, but she overacts every single scene she's in. I didn't like her as Belle and I loathe her as Maxie. Although, I'll cheer for Maxie over Lulu every time.

**I hated Luke and Laura. There should never be a relationship between a rapist and his victim.

**I couldn't care less who wrote, produced, directed any of the shows. I wouldn't know a script writer from a gaffer and don't care to have it explained to me. All I want is a good story. And the only show giving me one at the moment is OLTL. And not all of it is that great either (Todd/Marty....GAG!)

    • yes. today Monday's episode started with words displayed "part 1" and ended with "to be continued"
    • I find Missy Reeve's views offensive and I don't want to defend her, but I don't think she ever said anything publicly about Days "gay content".   In fact, I don't think she's ever said anything negative about Days at all.  There's no indication Missy is difficult or unprofessional on set-except for the whole affair thing years ago lol-but that's a whole different topic. I can dislike Missy as a person and still think she's the perfect fit for Jen.  Cady tried and it didn't work for me.  Whenever Missy steps into the role it works.  It's a two things can be true situation.  Missy has some bad opinions, but she's great at playing Jennifer.
    • Doesn't the funeral go into Tuesday
    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people. Edit to add: The reason this may be impossible to source, and therefore of no use, is because it was not a public statement. She is supposed to have said it at the show, about the show, to colleague/s, one of whom repeated it in public, but that is convoluted to try to track down, so feel free to ignore. I did do some looking & I am not optimistic.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.
