I am completely over Nish and his shenanigans and I still don’t care for Suki and Eve so I’m hoping this wedding mess puts a final end to the merry go round with these three. I read the new showrunner was a big part of the Panesars intro story and to that I say yikes 😬

The worst family in EE history, no matter how much the show tries, and tries, and tries.

I barely know who these people are but that's saying something.

I'm glad someone else thinks the same, I thought I was the only one who thought this.

The Ferreiras run them pretty close (or vice versa), I think.

I think I liked the Ferreiras much more. They had Sasha, who was a good character and who I'd like see return. The Ferreiras were pretty bland, but at least they had some warmth to them.

They were also more believable to me as relatives and there were a few nice characters around. They also kept to themselves more. The Panesars are shoved everywhere and the writing is so dishonest about them. Suki abused her children for decades and even killed one through sending him to prison, with no remorse, but we're meant to see her as a saint.

Unfortunately, I don't see them going anywhere. I don't think soap producers have much awareness these days.

The Millers were also considered one of the worst families, but they were better than the Panesars too.

I peeked in last night to watch the wedding episode and meh...

How didn't Suki feel Nish wrapping his hand around her dress? Like c'mon.

And I am pretty sure that Nish will be the only casualty. Suki will be injured or paralyzed at the most. I doubt they are going to kill Eve. And they better not kill Denise, which I doubt b/c I feel like they are going to put her back in Ravi's orbit. And Davinder's mannish little a** needs to feel the heat over concealing that Nish was back in town.

That aside, I do feel like the Panesar family is a poor man's version of Masood clan.

I remember Tony Jordan being mercilessly blunt in his appraisal of how they mishandled the Ferreiras, lol.

So much of their story was tied into Dan, and what was going to be his murder and coverup, that when Dalip Tahil was deported that their meaning fell apart.
And Louise Berridge and her team were unable to adapt.

Masood ahmed is still deeply missed :(

Maybe they should write out the Panesars and bring back the Masoods. The show probably wouldn't be able to not have an Asian family, and Kamil would be a teenager now. I know I was against the idea of Syed coming back earlier in the thread, but if Masood, Kamil, Christian and Syed could replace the Panesars I'd be happy with that. However, Masood is with Jane now, and Bobby went to live with Jane.
