I liked that Clenshaw knew how important the Beales were to Walford and rebuilt them, softened up Phil, brought back Angela Wynter, made Denise a leading lady, and snagged Colin Salmon.

Those are all great points. I hope we don't lose any of them. I especially don't want to see Phil, the gangster nor do I want to lose Yolande or Denise. Love those ladies!!

I’ve tried to dip in to Hollyoaks just before and after the time jump, but very little in the 3 years that preceded it. So I’m no authority on it. What I do know is that Ben Wadey was a Channel 4 Commissioning Editor, so he oversaw a slate of shows, including Hollyoaks. He wasn’t a direct producer.

As for Holby City, I know I’m in the minority when it comes to the last year,  but the darker, nihilistic approach of Sean Gleeson spoke to me. My own writing is sometimes dark and cynical.

I see. I don't like dark all the time, so I hope he will not take EE in that direction :D But lets see and hope for the best.

Loving David and Bianca being back on the square and today’s episode with David and Cindy reuniting did not disappoint at all. Their confrontation at The Vic was 🔥 and then the end with Ian proposing and all of Cindy’s men looking on. Great stuff.

I forgot to post my happiness at the loser sister killer Bobby finally leaving, GOOD RIDDANCE. I’m glad Anna aborted his baby too.

Yesterday's episode was def fun, but I am sure fans who actually watched David/Cindy story unfold were enjoying it more than me. For me, I like David as a character, but knowing he's only here for like a week is hard for me to get attached lol

But still, the ending with the proposal and all FOUR of Cindy's men there was really campy and soapy and fun :D

David's return really put a literal jolt in the Junior/Cindy/Ian/George quad, I wish he could stay too because he was definitely what the story called for to make it interesting.

That episode was classic EE loved it from start to finish.

Yeah, it was much needed. Junior and Cindy's affair was getting really repetitive and kinda boring. So it was a nice change of pace this week with David getting involved. I didn't see today's episode yet, but I am looking forward to see the continuation of the Wednesday cliffhanger. :)

I wish David was staying longer, I would have been more invested in his character. But he was really fun as a character.

He's literally the best male character the show has and will ever have. Next to dear Arthur, of course.

I started watching 1985 episodes recently, so I will see how it goes with these original characters :D

I started from the beginning awhile back and have made it into 1994. :) Have fun!

Oh wow! You're doing great :D I am assuming not all the episodes are available though, no?

Btw, I saw today's episode now

Spoiler

and I really enjoyed it. It was so great to watch those history filled scenes with David and Cindy, I absolutely adored David going back to ask Bianca to come with him. I LOVED Patsy's acting in that scene.

And of course the f-ing bird-watching equipment will finally serve something!

:D

The actor retired from acting so I’m glad he came back and will take whatever HE is willing to give us lol

No way that little bitch just punched Kat, my Kat Slater, in the fücking face.

I gasped when that happened! I kept expecting him to do something to Kat, but I did not expect that punch in the face. :o

only good thing was that he did look somewhat regretful, so maybe he can be saved?

No. He must be eliminated.
