I think Max may just want her to stay because she's his last connection to Bradley left or something. Though, I do think Max has deep love for her outside of the Bradley connection. It's probably not the romantic kind of love since both Tanya and Vanessa are still there, or he just uses that as a tactic to stall her and get her to reconsider leaving.

There's apparently more to her exit that we don't know, and it's supposed to be on Christmas day. Those scenes don't look very Christmas-y though.

Friday's episode:

It's about time Roxy lost all of her money. I've never seen someone waste money like her ever.

I like how Jack and Max can joke about Tanya burying Max alive now.

I like how Max seems confident about being over Tanya now.

The Kat and Ronnie scenes were great. It's ironic seeing Ronnie try to defend Roxy to Kat, since Kat used to do that all the time for her sisters during her first stint.

They finally remembered that Ian and Alfie are good friends.

I'm not sure what to think of Harry and Vanessa, but I'm open to finding out more about them. The brick though the window of Max's house at the end of the episode took me by surprise.

I will always have a great love and appreciation for Cindy Beale, and often times I felt more sympathy for her than for Ian. I always believed Cindy thought she was doing the right thing, even when she really wasn't.

I have heard some say Michelle could not act, but I think that she was good at conveying the emotions of her character, which is very important. I also thought she worked really well with most of the men in Cindy's life. I still think there is room to bring Cindy back from the dead.

Steve McFadden has been arrested.

Reading the spoilers posted on DS tonight, it looks like

Jane and Masood are going to have an affair, to the point of going to a hotel room. Then Jane tells Ian, I guess, but Zainab doesn't seem to know.

I can't say I'm shocked about this because they started all this some time ago (even if it has been dropped for months on end) but I was hoping they'd never go there. Depending on how this comes across it will pretty much kill my interest in Masood, who, until the very poorly written "Chryed" resolution, was one of my favorite characters on the show.

Why

He is one of the best actors EE has. So what if his personal life gets attention.

Because I hate Phil Mitchell. He's a selfish prick. FIRE HIM! NOW!

And he lives in the same borough as me! Don't know why that surprised me, considering a lot of actors live in or around my area. I guess b/c I've never seen him around, unlike other EE actors. Not that I would want to either.

Is it just me, or does he always have issues with his baby mothers? You'd think he would learn from his past, and I guess, his character.

I read that, too. Doesn't fill me joy. Feels too random as well, considering they dropped that story, and made it seem like it was over. This is the problem with bad pacing. Also, Syed finds out, and there's this drama about whether he'll tell Zainab, or keep his dad's secret.

The DS threads on Eastenders are like a feeding frenzy lately. I haven't watched the show in the past few weeks, I've just taken a bit of a break from the British soaps, but I wonder if it is really that much worse than the last few years. Some are claiming it's worse than 2004. People are calling for Kirkwood's firing. I think the polarization and anger has gotten to the point where even if Eastenders became brilliant each episode some would be disappointed. I've had that feeling myself with some shows, and it's hard to get out of that mindset.

I love Aunt Sal.

Roxy (about Amy): Oh there she is, my little princess!

Sal: All ready to watch her father marry her aunty.

Someone had to say it, and I'm glad they're still using her even though Peggy is gone.

So, I guess it's happening then:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/eastenders/news/101111-baby.shtml

Emotive New Year storyline is revealed.

As 2010 in Walford draws to a close, a particularly dramatic event is set to rock the residents of Albert Square. If you do not wish to be spoiled, however, you may decide that it's best not to read on.

In the run up to New Year's Eve both Kat and Ronnie give birth. Unfortunately, one of the babies dies soon after, leading to Ronnie, in the heat of the moment, making a terrible decision to swap the newborns as Albert Square's residents go about their New Year's Eve celebrations.

"This story built on the rich history both characters have built up over the years and the story team have worked hard to make this convincing and powerful," EastEnders' Executive Producer Bryan Kirkwood told us.

"Although EastEnders is a fictional drama we have, of course, taken great care to thoroughly research this storyline, which will reflect a issue close to the hearts of some of our audience," he added. "We're fortunate to have two wonderful actresses, Jessie Wallace and Samantha Womack, who understand the need to portray such an emotive subject sensitively."

"Viewers will know that Ronnie has had a difficult past, losing both her daughter and father in the last couple of years," he added. "When she loses the one thing she's always wanted, she acts on impulse in a moment of sheer grief and desperation."

Joyce Epstein, Director of the cot death charity FSID, said: "We are very grateful to EastEnders for their accurate depiction of the devastating effect that the sudden death of an infant can have on a family. We hope that this story will help raise the public's awareness of cot death, which claims 300 babies' lives each year."

Have you heard the item about

Tamwar sleeping with the daughter of Zainab's first husband. Some are saying that this will also be Zainab's daughter, but I don't know if I can see that happening.
