Perhaps, but from the sound of it, Janine and Ricky's grandmother is going to be a "b!tch" in some ways(compared to Pat who is pretty much the matriarch of the square). Sounds like it might give Pat a rival, being that Pat loved Frank, and this lady never did. They might have an exchange or two over their differing views of the man. I can mostly see her playing the devil to Pat's angel, in Janine's ear.

I think they will just have her on long enough to die, and they may have Janine inherit her money, with a lot of speculation about whether Janine killed her. My guess anyway.

When Frank died, Diane mentioned at his funeral that she now had a female partner.

Sid Owen is taking a break from the show, and they hope to reintroduce Ricky and Bianca back sometime in 2012:

When Ricky leaves, even if it's temporary, I hope Bianca's kids go with him. I hope they don't burden Carol or Pat with them.

It would be interesting to see Carol dealing with Liam, but I wouldn't mind if they all go. I just hope they can still write for Carol.

It was interesting to see how many immediately assumed he was quitting for good (where else would he go??). Didn't the Mirror also claim he was leaving because of the baby swap? Come on. Everything these days is slanted into some sort of Eastenders failure.
