It seems like Marquess is just casting random actors he wants on one of his shows into the Brady saga. So many pointless characters, from Brendan (I'm sorry but I just don't buy anything with this man), to Darren Day, whom I only know of from being on that I'm a Celebrity show. And although I liked her in Hollyoaks Later, Lindsey is also pointless. Veronica was awful -- a less talented Patsy Kensit. Now that Glen Wallace has left, Malachy is also pointless. Maybe this stuff is the reason he left...

As for Kevin, he's definitely going. He was listed as leaving in an article about Carley Stenson's goodbye party.

What are the ratings like? Are they going to cancel it soon?

They get less than 2 million, but I don't think it will be canceled anytime soon. It's not like Hollyoaks ever got high ratings before.

It has what the Americans would call good demos, apparently. I guess it serves a niche right now that the other UK soaps don't quite really. I think it's safe for a while yet. Is Phil redmond still involved? I know he was royally pissed when Channel 4 canceled his Brookside and threatened to take Hollyoaks away, but now tih Hillside and his famous youth soap Grange Hill gone, I got the impression he was gonna keep Hollyoaks around as long as possible. Either way it's still in the "Big 4" with Corrie, Eastenders and Emmerdale, and since it's Channel 4's only soap up there, I think that's another reason it will kick around (though I'm sure it's last on that list...)

According to her Twitter Sarah Jayne Dunn (Mandy) will be in a few eps of Hollyoaks next month.

So, I guess Steph dies and she's Mandy is back for the funeral?

YAY! This could also be for the death of Dominic, IMO. Either way, Steph's death is kind of going to be lame considering none of her siblings will be there. Not even Johnno will be returning, I'm guessing. <_<
