Why would Vincent come back to AMC under Pratt? David Hayward isn't a needed character, he has very little if any ties to the show. What would they do with him? At this point he would be just as useless to AMC as he was to Y&R. AMC doesn't need David Hayward and is having a hard enough time to keep a float anyway. Greenlee has been changed beyond recognition, NotRealBabe doesn't bare any resemblence to him at all and they never had a strong relationship, Krystal is already in a triangle with Adam and Tad, Erica is in a triangle of her own. AMC doesn't need any more attention focused on the hosiptal, Dixie is dead, ect.

^ yeah, that. Plus, Bianca and Miranda are gone, and the character could never completely move on and win the fans over again unless those two forgave him. There's nothing left in Pine Valley for David and he's not needed now, or ever.

I really like MVP but I doubt he is staying on amc past this year. David would be perfect back with erica, and in the meantime he could be all up in the dixie drama if the show decides to bring her back. So david is not useless, he's more valuable than babe.

I'm sorry, but there is NO way in post fetus AMC that I'd ever support a D&E redo. If they can make Erica's only son a walking fetus, and kill Dixie Martin with poison pancakes etc...I shudder to think what they could do to David and Erica. Sam can have her until she and Jack decide they're soulmates again (gags).

It depends where Pratt wants to go. David and Jake were enemies... Jake was the first Martin David opposed. David and Greenlee are inlaws with romantic tension. Aiden is David's ex-nephew in law. And most of all, a snarky villain like David is always useful on a soap. David has plenty of history, and plenty of contacts there... he connected to almost every point on the canvas at one time or another... the question is, would Pratt want to develop that.

No point in bringing him back to have a cartoon villain, but there is tremendous potential for a writer who WANTS to write for him.

that being said, AMC has been cartoon and shallow for so long, I'm not sure they can dig their way out of it.

There's nothing to agree on. LOL That's cool if people want a D&E redo should VI come back. I completely understand it, and get it, hell, who could blame them? Not me.

I just won't stand behind it. My choice.

Vincent might also work on B&B as a new character. He could be the man that has been helping Beth out in Paris. I could see him as a love interest for Katie, or Felicia, or Beth. Plus I do enjoy him, just not on Y&R, but refuse to ever watch an episode of AMC again.

I dont see how that would redeem David. Redeem him from what? What happened to Bianca was 4 years ago. Everyone has moved on from that and David never took the blunt of the hate for that.

Bc RealBabe aka Alexa Havins did....?

Erica and Bianca never forgave him, and say what you want about David and D&E, but a part of that character dies without those women in his life. So if AMC ever wanted to play any kind of David and Erica angle, god help me, they'd have to address all the Babe bullshit.

Personally, I think she'd have to stay his kid. David couldn't handle that. It would crush him to know that he did what he did for a woman who isn't even his daughter. Her being his blood was the only thing he could use to rationalize the choices he made. Beside that, losing another kid would destroy him.

I just don't want the character back, period. He's gone. He got a semi decent ending.

thank you. I didnt get how making Babe not his daughter would automatically redeem him. Like you, I thought Babe being his kid was what made what he did make sense on his part. To take taht away would mean that he did everything for nothing.

As far as Erica goes, seeing how she's learned to love Zach and has accepted Babe, she can definetly get over David's part. She's the only person that was close to David that was affected by what he did. I guess I didnt see why he needed redeeming bc he was already the town pariah and has been hated for much worse, yet still managed to surive as a viable character.

For me the character of David, last had any usefulness back when he and Erica reconnected during the Cambias trial. After they didnt explore any of that, it was the beginning of the end for him. I felt making Babe his kid was an attempt to extend his character but they didnt really do anything with that. He was absolutely ruined the following year, not by Babe and Krystal but by Dixie. Thats what ruined him. At this point, I cant really see him coming back unless its to facilitate her return but then again that would be messing him up even more

I'm just tired of some d&e fans specifically qutoing my post to tell me why david shouldn't come back(and its not just on this board). Its fine if you don't want him back leave my post out of it though because there is no changing my mind on wanting david to return.
