I'm sorry to ask something obvious. I am not a regular AMC viewer.

When I have watched, I found Leven's Lily to be amazing. I especially loved the character in the beginning (especially when she still had that half-brother, Jackson's adoptee).

I've seen less of Ava, and she seemed more like a stock-floozy...so I can't comment as much. The portrayal seemed less deep, less likeable.

But Lily seemed to me to rock.

What am I missing? What are people reacting to BEYOND her party-girl off-camera status? I'm being sincere...not questioning your judgments.

I think Leven Rambin is AMAZING as autistic Lily.

But her acting as Ava was atrocious. I've also seen her on Book of Daniel and something else...and she was just as average/bad on there. Her voice is odd, and her breathing is off -- which works PERFECTLY for Lily, but not as any other character that I've seen.

I'll give her a shot and see if there is something new she can bring to this role.

I think I just overloaded on her with the Ava thing. I really hated that character. I've noticed that quite a transformation tends to happen to people when they switch from daytime to primetime, so I might like her just fine, as long as she has a minor role.
