This is the mother of all late replies but, if I remember correctly, the first episode was longer than usual and, yes, Terri fell off the Models, Inc balcony (I really, really loved the whole agency set) onto the pavement or a car lol

Sarah was mostly annoying because Cassidy was just so bad.

But Julie Dante... now, that bitch rocked!

Ah, I remember Cassidy Rae... she played in some fun bad tv-movies in the 90's and I think she was some prime time soap on the WB with the guy from Saved by the Bell.

Julie Dante was such a great bitch.. then they started to soften her near the end.. though I liked how she turned Sarah's hair green after Sarah's bitchy, drunken tv interview :)

I often wonder how a 2nd season would have gone... I'm guessing that they were probably writing out Sarah and possibly Carrie based on how season 1 ended.

Well let's think about it...aside from the "alternate ending", how might have things gone after the Season 1 cliffhanger...

Hillary brought Sarah's dad Tom to LA at the end of the last episode in order to be sort of a reminder that Sarah was a good girl from a good family...I suspect, Tom was going to be a potential love interest for Hillary, which would have made things interesting as both their children, Sarah and David, were lovers. I think Tom and Hillary would have gotten married and David and Sarah would be stepsiblings and this would have allowed the character of David (recast?) to come back for his mother's wedding. Tom and Hillary's marriage would have been tested as Sarah and David were on again, off again...Also, I think I recall Sarah mentioning during a photo shoot once that she had some brothers...maybe a handsome male Owens sibling would have joined the canvas and become a romantic lead, perhaps a stable love interest for Sarah's friend Linda, on the rebound from Eric, or maybe the recently rescued Carrie Spencer. On the other hand, Sarah could have been ushered out of the story by going home with her dad.

Back to Carrie I honestly think Carrie would have been rescued by either Adam and company once they learned Grayson had banished her to South America or possibly some new character...Maybe the character of David would have revisited his backstory of being a playboy and come into contact with Carrie and rescue her...or maybe Ben, Grayson's seedy henchman would have found Carrie and the two would have plotted revenge against Grayson.

I honestly think Grayson would have been the victim of a shooting, but not the shooting at the wedding . I think enough people would have wanted revenge on Grayson...Adam, Monique, Carrie, Ben, Hillary...that one of them would have attempted to murder her. However, as for the wedding shooting...I always think Julie would have been an interesting victim of circumstance getting shot in the back and then paralyzed for a bit before a miraculous recovery and in the interim her sister Anna taking her career and causing problems in the lives of her friends Brian and Cynthia. Maybe Anna would have made a play for Craig...

These are some rough ideas, but it would have been interesting to see where the story was supposed to go.

    • I like Margaret well enough in what I've seen of her as Paige - she is green but she has real star power.  I agree about the actor who plays Brian. He's...mostly just there. Not bad but not great.  My main issue is with the guy who plays Owen. He's just not appealing to me. I can believe Nola being obsessed with him, but he's draining to watch.  I'm surprised people objected to the quasi-incest elements as it wasn't anything that new for soaps.  Speaking of Kim, here's a rare episode of an anthology show she did called The Evil Touch.

    •   I get what you're both saying, and I think the show was lucky to have even made it that long, but I think they could have still maintained a certain audience - Second Chances did before the earthquake. CBS was an older network anyway. I think the premise of Knots was still usable, it was more the characters who were a problem - many of the older figures were played out. If the show had done a better job building up its younger cast instead of making so many poor choices in the late '80s and early '90s, they could have kept things going a little longer.
    • I wish I cared about the homeless lady as much as everyone else seems to. After the nothing burger that was the lawsuit, this just feels like another boring Naomi storyline at Orphy Genes since she has no office.
    • That's great to hear. Thanks. I wish that was more readily available.
    • Just learned that Clifton Davis wrote this song!  I had no idea.

    • I think even if Marland had wanted to write more for Sara/Adam, his hands would have been tied as Robert Milli was one of the actors dumped by P&G due to his age.  From the bits and pieces I've seen of that period, Sara does have a key role in the Carrie plot, and Marland briefly gave her son Tim a more important part. I'm not sure if they just gave up on Tim once Kevin Bacon left or if they never really cared. I did not even know for many years that there was an actor in the part after Kevin...and then not one, but two. The Spauldingfield video on Tim doesn't even show the last actor (Nigel Reed), which kind of says it all. Anyway, I do get the sense Marland has some use for Sara, or for Millette. It's only after he goes that she is dumped. Of course he didn't ever hire her for his other shows, so maybe I'm wrong. (then again he never hired Geraldine Court either and he seemed very fond of her) Ann is an odd character to me as she is a proto-Lillian in being defined by pining for a Bauer brother and being involved in the death of one of their wives. I do wonder what else they could have done with her. She was friends with Diane, wasn't she? They could have had Diane manipulate her against Mike, I suppose.
    • Yassss....come on Maurice and Brandon...give us nothing!!! Wow, their need to develop their craft shone like a blinding light this episode. Brandon in his Martin and Smitty scenes sounded like he was reading and the facial expressions were giving Disney Channel. He did much better against Maurice in the Martin v Ted scenes. Now, Teddd-dyy (Dana's voice) was just flat. I watched the episode just now after reading the comment on here that Maurice needs to stop swaying, and now I can't unsee it. Has it really been this bad all along?  Ambyr carries. I don't need to say anymore. I am kind of excited to see this Kat/Tomas/Eva stuff play out.  Bill is such a dick to Dani. Like that's the mother of your children that you cheated on with your daughter's best friend but you look to take those low blows. Lord! When he said that thing about it being obvious he didn't care about Dani anymore since he was the one that walked out...that was cold. I even felt for Dani. Bill definitely is all over the spectrum. You can see a villain possibly surfacing, but you also see this great father. The elder Duprees move a little funny. I'm wondering what that is all about. Are they just overly protective matriarch and patriarch because they think it's what's best for their family, or are they afraid their secrets will come out or there's something more sinister there. Why would Vernon want to keep that information from Martin?  I hope something interesting comes out of this June stuff, but as of right now, I'm not too invested. It's not helping my interest on Naomi or Jacob either. However, tge actress playing Naomi has comes a long way from day one.
