He was the worst. If the show had continued for many years, I bet he we would've been stuck with him. I'd add Eddie Cibrian and Joyce Guy to your list of awesome actors under appreciated. JG brought Mrs. Moreau to life, and she gelled with all of the handful of actors she crossed paths with. Especially SB. She had chemistry with everyone.

They did, but I think they missed the boat with Annie and Tim. They sizzled together. Again, SB had chemistry with everyone. It also wouldn't have locked Tim in that constant merry-go-round with Meg.

I wasn't a fan of Ricardo's revenge plot. I think that was a bit of lazy direction to take the story/characters.

Actually, I can see why you may have that view about CR, but honestly, if you watch him playing Derek while playing Ben, too, you'll see just how good he can be, especially Derek's return in '99 - he was a lot darker the second go around.

I liked Sarah but I fel they didnt know what they wanted her to be. Like was she a heroine or villian? She was presented like one of the good guys but she did some horrible thigns and its almost as if they were modelling her on Annie complete with the lying, scheming and fantasies. I think she could have used a rival but the closest we got was her getting jealous of Meg and sticking her nose in Maria's business (bc of Meg). It could have been interesting if she went up against Annie

She was pale in comparison to Annie, but they could have been great rivals. If the show had lived on, there were so many possibilities.

She was a bad girl disguised as a good one; they could have easily brought out her bad side even more had they, possibly, actually paired her up with Jude.

He's consistent - always popping up in one show or another. It's just a shame that most of the shows he appears in never last long enough to make him a bigger name, or his character never lasts long in the show. Shame The Playboy Club (I think that was its name), wasn't a better show for NBC.

    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.

I'm sorry but I'm a glutton for punishment. Would love to see this woman OWNING the canvas. Telling off Leslie who tells her she's the head b!tch.
    • And in case anyone is confused; Rusty was hired by HB to work undercover and infiltrate some gang sabotaging Lewis.
