March 29, 200817 yr Member Not sure where it is from but I saw it on another board: What soap scribe is rumored to be very unhappy with the direction a certain soap is headed and isn't afraid to speak their mind, to the network?
March 29, 200817 yr Member Sounds like Agnes Nixon's take on AMC. Edited March 29, 200817 yr by operagirl1
March 29, 200817 yr Member I would have said Ron too, but he's probably been trying to fix everything he disliked about Gary's run. Agnes is a possibility too however, probably moreso than Ron since Ron is HW at OLTL and seemed to have a good amount of power there, where as Agnes doesn't have any power to do anything at AMC.
March 29, 200817 yr Member Yeah Ron can fix things, so what would he really need to go to the network about? Agnes I can't imagine she's happy that B&E are putting AMC one step closer to cancellation day by day....
March 29, 200817 yr Member I think its Agnes!! Shes has some involment with AMC and I do not think she likes the direction AMC is going towards.
March 29, 200817 yr Member My bet is on Agnes too, but it's a little disappointing, because NOW is the time she choses to speak up? Where was she when McTavish was dismantling the show? I don't think it's Carlivati, just because he hasn't been at his job very long and doesn't really have any power.

March 29, 200817 yr Member I think Agnes Nixon genuinely loves AMC and this may well be the time she feels AMC needs the most help. If it is indeed her then I applaud her for taking a stand. I recently found AMC and I would hate to lose it the way I have lost so many other soaps over the years.
March 29, 200817 yr Member Does it have to be a head writer? I dont think it would be a head writer who goes to the network, I think it would either more likely be a writer who is unhappy with the headwriter's planned direction for the show or someone like Agnes Nixon who doesnt want her show dismantled by B&E...it could very well be a staff writer unhappy with their superior's vision, or a headwriter who is unhappy with their superior's vision as well (ie an ABC headwriter going over Frons' head).
March 29, 200817 yr Member Unless this is from one of the magazines it's probably just a blind item some website made up.
