Always sad to see a soap bite the dust, even when it's a soap as *terrible* as Passions often was. Don't get me wrong, I sometimes found it enjoyable (the New Years Eve episodes were always good and I really enjoyed the Julian & Ivy interaction which sadly there wasn't enough of). I think Passions had a shot at some great stuff...JER just never managed to execute any of it and show went nowhere for far too long.

I hope actors like Kim Johnston Ulrich, Liza Huber, Tracey Ross, Ben Masters, Andrea Evans, Eva Tamargo and a few others will be able to find work. They made Passions tolerable even when the writing was ghastly, for that they deserve success.

Are the Passions actors/actresses free to join another soap right now or do they have to wait until the shows final airdate?

I believe they're free to join other shows. Contracts are only for taping schedules, not show dates.

I think Emily Harper would be great as a Babe recast and Eric Martsolf as a JR recast for AMC. Liza Huber for Kendall if Alicia ever decides to leave.

Goodbye Passions. I watched you in the beginning of the show and I watched the NBC finale last September. It was a pretty good ride. And it's sad to see you go.

Passions would've survived had it not been for JER! It's so frustrating to know that this one person ruined it all! With better writers, the show would've soared and I've always felt that the biggest mistake that the show made was not staying 100% true to its premise. The supernatural hijinks were the fabric of Passions but over time the show foolishly steered away from that and off into so many different directions.

I don't know about Ben and Tracey doing another soap. When NBC canceled Passions the first time, Ben said he was going to retire while Tracey was making plans to write a book. McKenzie Westmore talks a lot of how she would love to move to Nashville. I could see her and husband moving there so they can both focus on their music.

I'm going to miss seeing Lindsay Hartley on screen most of all. She just blossomed so beautifully in the role of Theresa Crane, and I love that she's been one of, if not THE, signature faces of Passions for its run. I'm sure she'll find something soon, but I would love to see her continue in daytime, preferably on "The Young & the Restless."
