Gray Gerard, or whatever the many alias names he is, seems to be muffing with everyone.... Katie put me to sleep....I wouldn't count on all those hopes and dreams to get Jack back...they need to close the chapter on that and keep it that way.... I really loved the Barbara and Kim talk...that pulled on my heart strings because for the longest time when watching this show, I thought Kim was actually Barbara's mother because they looked similar....

I had to laugh at those retarded looks that Cole was making trying to 'plead' his case....hope that he stays gone after today's episode....I imagine ole Iris demanded he goes out there to stir up trouble.

My question is.. is ATWT also going the Guiding Light route? The thing I've noticed is how a lot of the sets they're doing inside, but they're also doing a lot of outside stuff too. And even when they're shooting the inside sets, I've noticed the shaky camera effect as well.

The Barbara and Kim scenes were well done. I dont care for Cole. Vienna and Henry were sweet. I loved them saying their vows while Gray poured gasonline around the church. Although, I still think Henry is 100% gay. Good show!! Tomorrow's show looks even better!!

Compared to GL.....ATWT is miles better. I saw GL today and the interior scenes are bad. The lighting is awful and the camera very shaky. I do like GL's outdoor scenes much better than their interior scenes.

I could have sworn that Barbara would ask Kim for permission to call her mom like Frannie did years ago. The "tell mama all about it" vibe was quite engrossing.

Meanwhile Passanante's peripheral characters are committing their usual brand of menace. Gray is up to violent thuggery as Cole re-enacts Michael Jackson's baby dangling. We get it. If you're not in a core family, you're ten times more likely to be a criminal freak. How long will it be before Ameera pulls a gun on somebody?

Kim/Babs....sweet.

The Hallie hospital stuff...**yawn** Either everyone wants that kid, or no one does. I don't see how Sophie blames herself for Cole's shenanigans. The reason he's there has nothing to do with her, he obviously thought he could get something out of Will and Gwen again.

Jack/Katie....now they're just going through the motions of trying to restart that horrid Kack business. Now Katie is happy to sit and wait around for some magical day when Jack will give her some time? C'mon, he didn't say anything today, that he hasn't said since Carly came home. Except he didn't bother to call it a promise. I hate Katie, but even I think she needs to be stronger than that.

And why did Carly have to step in and finish Brad's lines? Shouldn't Katie have done that?

LOL...Jack knew Carly would take off. I'm curious to see this tie in to Gray.

And I don't know why ATWT's stuff looks so much better than GL's. I know ATWT hasn't gone to the extreme GL has, but GL's guys are trippin' on shooting through leaves, grasses and branches.

Henry/Brad...that was funny.

The very first time I caught a glimpse of ATWT with Henry on it I thought he was gay also....lol. Anywho, I was so worried about all the spoilers of Katie and Jack part deux and apparently that was for nothing. After todays episode I really don't think this is about Jack and Katie at all. But more like Katie coming to terms with her feelings for Brad and Jack coming to terms with his feelings for Carly. We'll see but that's how I think this is going to play out.

I really am into this story about Matt, Gray and Margo. Surprisingly! I really like Matt's character. He plays him well and is very natural. The new Casey is growing on me too, and that surprised me as well as I didn't like him at all at first. He clicks well with Matt and Allison. Looking forward to see how this storyline develops.

The only part bothering me is the Brad/Bonnie stuff. Either like her or don't, but this calling her everytime he's upset with Katie really bothers me. It would be so refreshing to have Katie finally admit her feelings for Brad and for him to say I got tired of waiting and I want to see where it can go with Bonnie now. I think that would be great and not so expected. Anyway, can't wait for tomorrow, anxious to see how Carly gets out of this one!!

Oh by the way, loved how Carly didn't bat an eye when she saw Jack and Katie hugging. Loved that too! And thank god no Kack Kissing!!

Yeah, because TPTB missed the memo stating that The Edge Of Night has been cancelled and all attempts to copy it will be futile.

Just about everything besides the Snyder quad was bearable today. Those four seriously inspire a blockage for me. They become mumbling adults in a Peanuts cartoon. WAH-WAH-WAH-WAH.

I never watched Edge of Night. I hated its main opening. The show itself looked dark and gloomy. I think I caught a handful of episodes while it was on. So how does Edge compare to ATWT? For those who watched Edge regularly.

    • I absolutely love the idea of Krista Allen being on the show. I wouldn't saddle her with Jen though. I'd create a brand new character for her. She could be a diva who lives Beyond The Gates and is gradually seen at the country club. Then I'd do a slow roll out where the Duprees don't like her and her family because she is part of the first white family that "infiltrated" Beyond The Gates. Then slowly...and I mean slowly...expand Krista's character's family as a rival to the Duprees as some have said the show should have. A younger son to mix it up with Chelsea/Kat, a daughter to maybe run for office against Martin. Krista Allen could easily be a great matriarch for a rival family.

    • They said Kate was on the board too.  I am confused if that's all new developments or we always knew that.  I really have no idea why Kate would be on the hospital board.

Then in a brilliant moment she invoked the words of Claire Labine, said by Rosalind Cash as Mary Mae Ward to Stone, near death, a now very famous quote: "Every moment of my life, whether filled with joy or with pain, has the potential for grace realized. Whether it's an opportunity to learn, or whether it's to make a connection, or whether it's to find love which you didn't think existed, these are gifts from god & to throw them back in his face is something unthinkable to me."
    • That would make sense; he is to DAYS as the Quartermaines are to GH, in terms of the hospital board. If only DAYS had a hospital worth being a board member of.

    • I think Arielle Prepetit is great, but I almost wish Naomi had been Nathan and Jacob were Jacqueline (shades of Tom and Margo). We’d have another Dupree son, and the idea of Bill being a disgraced role model for his male lawyer son would have a different resonance around masculinity and generational trauma, especially since we already have Chelsea for the female Hamilton daughter POV. Just for the balance.
    • I actually like Alex/Gabi.   I didn't mind JJ/Gabi, but I agree JJ is a bore.  I am confused as to why Brady is on the hospital board?  Something to do with Isabella, I assume?   If Rachel is the shooter the recast makes a bit more sense.
    • @FaulknerI do agree with you about the male characters. I feel like I've been overlooking that because a female-driven soap has been so rare these days.  They have some relationships they could build upon but not nearly enough. The male characters for the most part don't have any friends or family to help develop them. This is also part of the issue with having only one main family.
    • I still suspect they won't show a kid holding and shooting a gun. I think she stabbed him, and then someone else shot him to cover it up.
