This show would have been good if there was no Krystal & Babe.

I love everything else. I might like Richtie(ms) if he wasn't a Babe worshiper.

Tad the smart one

I like that Tad is being cautious about Rob since he just shows up out of the blue. There is a certain mystery to him that Tad has caught on to so he has a right to be on his toes over Rob. He certainly has an agenda for not only the Hubbards but for Tad as well. This is good on AMC's part for keeping Tad's PI eye on the strangers of Pine Valley....he knows when to trust people but also when not to as evidence with Rob.

I thought the scenes with Tad and Robert in the casino bar were very good. I especially liked it when Robert was talking about how the rain outside made Ray feel like he was a caged animal, and, despite his efforts to distract him, Ray would turn violent towards Robert. Tad started breaking down and describing the things Robert went through before he spoke them, all because Ray had done the exact same things to Tad.

That was the single best scene I've watched in a very long time. I'm not sure what Robert's in Pine Valley for, and it can't all be good, but I'm really hope they don't trash him beyond redemption a la Alexander Cambias Sr. He could be an interesting recurring character on the AMC canvas.

Meh episode so far. kzinlove, i LOVE your banner. Josh and Amanda should be frontburner. Sadly, I think they're trying to phase them out.

ICAM! The Tad/Robert scenes were character-driven writing at its finest, which is rare on AMC. It's usually reserved for Jesse & Angie although the Jack/Erica scenes on Tuesday were really good, too.

I wish I cared more about why Robert would want Jesse dead. It can't just be that he wants the necklace, can it? I was hoping maybe there would be a personal twist like Robert hating Jesse because of his skin color and the fact that Jenny didn't care and befriended him anyway.

Most of today's show was just blah, imo. I despise Krystal so I wound up ffing through Stuart when he started blathering on about how good she is for Adam and I didn't bother to watch anything with JR/Babe/Richie.
