Members xtr
I found these names on Trevor St John's website underneath his blog. These names were posted yesterday. These are the people that he mentioned that got pre-nominations for OLTL. They are Eddie Alderson, Brandon Buddy, Jason Tam, Kristen Alderson, Farah Fath, Brittany Underwood, Michael Easton, Jerry ver Dorn, Robert S. Woods, Kassie DePaiva, Erika Slezak, Robin Strasser, Brian Kerwin, John-Paul Lavoisier, Tuc Watkins, Kathy Brier, Catherine Hickland, and Bree Williamson. Members Lskreet
Thanks. I think Kathy Brier has the best chance of getting an actual nomination.
Members JackPeyton
TSJ was ripped off. WTF? RSW over him, really?!
Members Lskreet
TSJ didn't submit his name. He mentioned it in his blog.
Members tina m
Why? He was incredible. Melissa Archer got shafted.
Members Lskreet
I don't know you'll have to ask him. My guess is he didn't feel he did anything Emmy worthy or maybe he thought someone else deserved a chance. I don't think it was a good idea to add a third slot. Farrah Fath? Really? Members DevotedToAMC
I think Kathy Brier will get a nomination and probably a win
Members David_Vickers
I agree. Trevor St. John is one of ONE LIFE's best shots at an Emmy. Shows he's a humble and nice guy. Melissa should've been pre-nominated too. Yes Farah Fath did a a good job. She's much better on ONE LIFE than she was on DAYS.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
Kathy Brier should technically be Lead, because that's what she was last year. Eh, why is Erika Slezak on that list? She did nothing for 90% of 2007, and its not like she had that much meaty material to go with.
Members DevotedToAMC
Who knows....because it is possible she can get lucky number 7? I love Erika and all but I think she has enough Emmys
Members Lskreet
Did a good job at what? Serving coffee? She hasn't been on the show long enough to do anything impressive.
Members ZaraB
Yes, but did she have any material particularly Emmy worthy in those two to three months on the show? TSJ made his own choice. He certainly didn't have the material of the year before, and I suspect he discounts the Todd/Blair cycle. Having 3 pre-noms per category may help some shows that have depth and rotation of stories, like Y and R and possibly ATWT. I doubt there is any show that can field 3 deserving pre-noms for all the categories - but in OLTL's case, it shows how little they've rotated. ES, RS, HBS, KDP have all had previous nominations and/or wins, but RS is the only one that even had the material to justify the pre-nom. JVD and RSW certainly have delivered great performances in the past (JVD moe for Guiding Light) - but they may have one performance for this year. Members Lskreet
That was my question ZaraB. I think they gave it to her because they wanted to fill the third slot. It definitely doesn't help in OLTL's case. Where is KDLR's nomination? He could have easily filled a position in either the lead or supporting category. What did JPL, TW, BK or ME do that was so notable? It will be interesting to find out which scenes the various nominees selected.
