Well, Days did get a 2.3 on Thursday, which was Shirley Jones' first day so that suggests people did tune in and give it a chance. The problem is the Santeen stuff should've been left alone but bringing John back led to them coming up to this. Whatever the case, good for Days. It's not nearly as bad as some make it out to be right now. It's got some issues and I hate all the upheaval but love seeing the vets on and involved and also getting their own individual stories. I think Days will so very well this sweeps with everything upcoming.

Good for most of the soaps hanging on to their numbers. Love seeing everyone's in the 2.0's. Ouch to GH.

Go Y&R! All this show needed was LML out and stories that make more sense and characters acting like themselves again.

OUCH to GH. I bet they were drooling thinking that Sarah's return was gonna be a big ratings boost. But NO ONE cares when it's tied to the mob which most GH fans either hate or could care less about.

Thank you! Them trying to "distract" the audience with these returns do nothing but emphasize how bad the show is now. It's a desperation maneuver and quite sad. That being said....I am still glad Sarah is back.

:D I <3 You Dawn. I can't wait for the next couple of weeks as more of the stories begin to be that of the Damn Hack. I wonder if all the positivity will still be around. At least I stopped watching when I was happy with the show.

You got that right! Y&R has improved lots since LML's been gone and I pray it continues. Kudos to B&B for going up in the ratings! I want them to continue to go up and be high like they were in the past.

Why did all the soaps except Days get their best ratings on Tuesday? All the ABC soaps plus ATWT and B&B got their highest rated day on that day and GL & Y&R tied for their best rating on Tuesday. Was there bad weather somewhere around the country that day (I noticed last year that very bad weather around the country often equated to higher ratings for most, if not all the soaps, since presumably people are "trapped" at home. I specifically recall this happening on Valentine's Day last year and it happens quite a few times in February - lucky for the soaps the bad weather happens during a Sweeps month).

Calculating Last Week and Last Year (#/#) comparisons.

1 Y&R 4.3 (+.2/same)

2 B&B 3.0 (+.1/same)

3 ATWT 2.4 (+.1/same)

3 GH 2.4 (-.2/-.6)

5 DOOL 2.2 (+.1/-.4)

5 AMC 2.2 (same/-.4)

5 OLTL 2.2 (same/-.4)

8 GL 2.0 (same/-.3)

Ooooooooooohhhh, GH suffered the worst loss in ratings of the week from last week and last year!!!!!!!! I thought Sarah Brown's Claudia and the over-exposure of Sonny/Carly/Jason was supposed to keep GH's ratings up????? I guess DAYS is out of the shadow for now.

    • Yes. He was asleep in the living room, over in the chair that is sideways to the room, but faces it & he had one of his bad dreams in the exact same way as always & as always it woke him up. Is that a thing? Are there bad dreams that for some reason always wake you?
    • Just happy to see the Pointer Sisters getting their flowers again, thanks to GTA 6.

    • Yeah, I was fickle. I abandoned baby watch & just tried to think of really well matched pairings. Yeah, they sent Carter & Thomasina away far too soon for my way of looking at things.  I REALLY liked them & they were rare being both young & African Americans.
    • My watching in that time period was sketchy.  After high school, I didn't have a TV.  I would watch in the dormitory common room  my first year away from home, but then after that I lived in a rental with housemates who didn't want TV.  I think I caught up on the soaps during school(univ) vacations, when visiting my sister's house.  And then many many years later on soapnet?  Not sure. I had no idea that Jeff ever tried suicide. Reading just now is the first I ever heard of that. Interesting. I will agree that Monica wanted Jeff out of the way so she could be with Rick, but she would have wanted him gone emotionally.  But I don't remember watching Jeff having any medical issues, so I don't know if she would have wanted him dead.
    • Didn't he have a nightmare last week?
    • Nothing about Joss ever works. I can't blame them for trying a completely fresh approach for her, but she needs to be written out.
    • Thanks @Paul Raven  Some of this sounds strong but it's all so heavy and some elements, like with Felicia and Charles, almost veer on parody. L&L seemed to always be a heavy show - did they ever even have comic relief moments? - but I do wonder if it all became too much for viewers.
    • It's a joke. If there's a way to put Joss into a WSB spy story that works, I haven't seen it. What they're doing is just ridiculous. Imagine trusting a huge operation to someone who "finished training" a month ago. I think they're trying to make this work by having a college-age agent be a part of the professor's class, etc. It might look acceptable on paper, but it doesn't work when you see it.
    • Monday, after the party, Leslie showed up at the Duprees. Martin was with everyone as they listened to her for a bit. Then Martin said he was needed at home.  Anita and Vernon knew he was upset and they were concerned. Vernon asked "Do you need Titus, or are you okay to drive?"  Martin said he was okay and left to drive himself home. Either Titus is a chauffeur or just some helpful all-around employee.
    • if only Dante had admitted to hating string instruments earlier....
