Snoop Talks OLTL on Larry King Live

On tonight's Larry King Live, Larry asked Snoop about the NY Post report on him writing a new theme song for the show. Snoop seemed to genuinely love One Life to live and it sounds like his theme song will be similar to the 80s Peabo Bryson song.

Here is the text from the OLTL portion of the show:

Larry: A recent report in the NY Post is that you are a big fan of daytime drama and have offered to write a song for OLTL. Is that true?

Snoop: Yes, I love that show. I always loved that theme song when I was a kid when my mom used to watch the stories so I feel I can write them a great song.

Larry: A rap song?

Snoop: Yeah

Larry: For OLTL?

Snoop: Yeah, cause we all got One Life to Live Larry!

Larry: Well, we aint got two.

I'm so excited for this. At first, I wasn't really sure about him writing OLTL a song....but now it seems to be a real fan that loves the show! I think they may repeat the show throughout the weekend. I believe Snoop starts talking OLTL around the 46-48 minute mark in the show.

Thank you for sharing, it will be interesting to hear, now we have to see if OLTL accepts his demo.

It's touching to hear that Snoop is a soap fan but ... this is all too bizarre.

For sure, I simply cannot wrap my head around it.

i think he could make a great theme song.

yeah the fi shizzleness is funny and all, but do you really think he would add that in? i dont.

I don't think so, either, JackPeyton. Still, just the idea that Snoop's going to write a new theme for OLTL - and a rap theme, at that!

What's next? Jay-Z redoing the Y&R theme? Or, maybe, we'll go in a different direction, and have the White Stripes write and perform a new theme for GL?

LMAO.

That must be coming from her new alter, D.J. Vee.

Well if he pays tribute to the 80's theme song, then I'm fine with this. I'm just a bit scared as to how it might turn out.

I believe someone mentioned here that Mary J. Blige should have done this -- I would have much preferred that!

Well alot of football players watch all my children, I read an article about that once in ESPN magazine, but i totally forgot the names of the players. Alot of people you think don't watch soaps probably do watch soaps.

HELL NAW this is crazy. I amglad he is doing this. It brings a whole new awareness to the young hip hop generation. Or maybe Snoop smoked to many trees. Either way I think it's great
