Members Y&RWorldTurner
Someone posted this on Gold Derby Daytime Emmy Forum: Saw this on Mediadomain. Sad According to TV Guide, Signy Coleman will return to her role as Hope in early February. The character is dying of pancreatic cancer. On her death bed she tells Victor Jr. his biological father is Victor Newman
Members DeeeDee
Killing off a beloved legacy character to introduce an uneeeded newbie for a story rehash?!?! What. The. [!@#$%^&*]?!?! This aint GH!

Members Y&RWorldTurner
I don't know how I feel about this to be honest. I mean they're obviously NEVER gonna use Hope again and she'll never be back as a main character on the show. Though it really does suck to see her go, I'm sure Braeden and Coleman will rock the death scenes together. They better establish Victor Jr. properly though.... Members Khan
Poor Hope. I adored that girl.
Members Sweet_VeeVee24
I'm glad that it will be Signey coming back to the role....She was the original for this role, right? If done right (and I emphasis on it being DONE RIGHT) I could see some good stuff if there was some angst between the Newman kids and this new addition... Members DeeeDee
That's the point. There's no point in SORAS'ing Victor Jr. if there's no Hope.

Members Y&RWorldTurner
Yes, I believe one of Latham's friends filled in for the role for a few days in 2006 though. I loved her as Hope, though she was SEVERELY miscast as Annie Dutton on GL (that role will always belong to Cynthia Watros).
Members JackPeyton
i always thought hope on YR was like lily on GH. liked but loved or hated. just kinda there. but idk. i didnt watch then.
Members DeeeDee
LML supposedly wanted Signy but she was sick so she recast her with Beth Toussaint.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
None of Victor's kids (Abby being the exception) should be as old as they are. I don't know why Y&R's SOARSED the Newman offspring's so severely. Isn't Nick supposed to be like 20 in real time?

Members Paul Raven
SORASING is the curse of soaps!! Victor Jr was born in 95 I think-making him about 13 now.If he arrived 15-17 years old it might be acceptable, but no,he's now in his mid 20's. I think it would be better to have characters aged gradually and at most be 5 yrs older than their true age. Also.everyone should be kept to the same timeline. SORAS is just lazy writing!!
