I HATE the Taylor/Nick/Brooke storyline and what they've done with Taylor. The show was soo good the past few months and this story is bringing it down. Focusing solely on it now has been bad for B&B and I cant stand to watch this crap. As a Taylor fan, Im disgusted and I wish they wouldnt have her crazy and drinking again. She already hit rock bottom a year and a half ago. Why crap on her again?

They completely dropped the other storyline with Susan Flannery on vacation. I wish they had used this time to focus on Thorne/Katie. They were getting closer only to have her drop him at the Fashion show and thats the last we saw of them as a couple. They should go light on this baby storyline and add some other stuff to the mix

Another thing is who is writing this show? Are Bell and Alden on the strike? Could explain why the show has taken a nosedive in quality

The tone is definitely different with the scabs, but I'm enjoying this story! It's extremely campy and Hunter Tylo is doing a great job with it. I know many think Taylor is crazy, but I still blame Brooke. I'd go crazy if I had that viper on the horizon. When has Brooke ever been content with what she has? Never, so Taylor is smart to worry.

My only complaint is that this is the only story...why?! Is it really that hard to come up with a third story? A simple romance? Why not just show Ashley and Rick together until they have something better for them? Seems pointless to pay these actors to do nothing.

I don't mind the story itself but this week has really nosedived. The same scenes/dialogue are being repeated over and over again and I can't be bothered with it. Brooke and Nick talk behind Taylor's back, Jackie slagsher off and Taylor keeps hallucinating. I think this is why HT's performance is getting too hammy -- she's probably as bored of doing these 'crazy' scenes as we are of watching them.

Instead of the constant hysterics, she should have quietly turned back to the bottle after she initial flipout. Brooke, Jackie etc would be suspicious about why she was suddenly calmer with the whole situation but she would let herself go in other ways.

Everybody else bored too?

Friday was a nice change of story even if it was slow. I noticed there was padding with the Donna/Eric flashback montage but it was great to see Stephanie back at the end barging into Donna's hotel room. Sidenote, her hair's longer than it's been in years. Wonder if we're going to see a bit of femininity creep back into old Steffers.

    • Hahaha - I do. I've always been the type, though, that can't miss anything. I get FOMO, so I'll not skip episodes or fast forward anything. There are only a few TV shows I've dropped because they got so bad vs. sticking it out to the end.  The promise that GL 1997 is better is what keeps me going. I especially want to see the fallout of Blake's lie about her twins and then Annie's descent which I believe won Watros's Emmy.
    • Rita's rape is an episode i constantly search on YouTube hoping one day that it will show up. I always feel like I may have seen it, but I was only 6 at the time and can never figure any of the things I have vague recollection of

FROM THE VAULT: NON-SOAP DAYTIME RATINGS: HIGHLIGHTS FROM AUGUST 1973 & NOVEMBER 1973:
    • The rape was in 1979 after they were married. Blake was the result of Holly cheating with him while she was married to Ed. I believe she was born in 1975.
    • No. Ed and Holly were married and having problems. She had an affair with Roger and that's when Christina--Blake--was conceived. The rape happened much later, after Holly and Roger were married.
    • Was Blake the product of Roger raping Holly, or did that come after when they were a couple?
    • I really wish we could see that episode...absolutely, my memory could be faulty, it was a very long time ago. I'm not going to contradict what the actors said--there has to be a reason it made them so uncomfortable that they talked about it in the press and complained to TPTB. I think that was the first one where they made the point that they wanted to educate the audience about the subject.
    • I just did with GL and its made me very happy!

Oh yes, trying to get into any soap from scratch starting post-2010 would be hard. I prefer to go back to the good ol' days, before the decline.
    • Can we talk about how iconic the 1994 tornado was on AMC? I was scanning through old episodes last night and came across this episode. The tornado was epic and the storylines/aftermath were so good (Julia's scar/Noah!; Jenny/Ray/Nola/Jesse in heaven with Tad, etc).  For 1994, these special effects and budget for this big event were amazing. 10 out of 10!  The only thing missing is Erica!  I can't recall where Erica was at the time, but I really wish she had been involved in this storyline.
