All My Children's rowdy Ryan (Cameron Mathison) will wake up January 31 with a unique kind of amnesia -- he'll think it's 2004 and that he's still engaged to Kendall. And that, says exec producer Julie Carruthers, will trigger a seismic shift in three of AMC's couples -- Ryan and Annie, Greenlee and Aidan, and Kendall and Zach. The soap will continue to play up Aidan and Kendall's guilt about having grief sex when their partners were buried underground last month, but Carruthers promises -- yahoo! -- that she'll avoid yet another pregnancy story. "We've had quite a few of those lately," she admits. "At last count, we had 11 child actors on our show who are under the age of five."

This happened to Erica. She had amnesia for a while but when she came too she pretended to be married to Charlie Brent to get back at Jack.

Oh great another amnesia plot....the last one sucked (Maria) and with B&E at the helm this will more than likely be worse.

Why not have it be Ryan having amnesia and he remembers being with Gillian? Then he gets his memory back and realizes she is dead? That would be more powerful.

I do not mind amnesia stories so long as they are written well...but I doubt this one will be. If they were written like Tad's amnesia story from 1992-1993, then I would have no problem

Didn't they do the EXACT same thing with Greenlee a few years back? I think it was when Jonathan was drugging her. She woke up thinking it was 1999 and thought Leo was still alive.

I don't get the need for this story. I was sort of liking Ryan but now I'm back to being annoyed by his presence.
