Members Y&RWorldTurner
GH SHOULD WIN THIS, if they submit something from the Hostage Crisis. Then again, I was shocked when GH lost last year. How the hell does AMC get nominated for all these awards? The directing and writing on the show sucks so much ass..... Administrator Toups Posted January 10, 2008 Author Administrator Share Posted January 10, 2008 I'm disappointed DAYS didn't get a nomination. The directing for John's death and John's funeral was excellent. Still have hope for the Emmys.
Members alwaysAMC
Do we have episode info for these? I am surprised that Casey Childs got the AMC nod....he is way too 'Disney' and annoying for me. I don't know why Angela Tessenari didn't get nommed. Members Y&RWorldTurner
Didn't Kathryn Foster direct those? It's funny, though Y&R USED to dominate the directing award at the Emmy's (specifically when Heather Hill lead the direction team), they were never very lucky with getting nominated for the Director's Guild Awards.... I believe Kathy has one DGA for Y&R, out of only TWO nominations.
Members Kubla Khan
AMC's episode was 7/26/07, one of B&E's first shows (remember, they were good for five minutes, LOL).

Remy is the security guard at the mysterious location, until he discovers it’s a lab funded by Alan. Cassie and Lizzie try to break through the door, as Alan and Beth enter the elevator with Coop right behind them. Cassie accidentally breaks open the bottle with the memory gas in it, as Cyrus and Ava walk in, they begin to cough and sink to the ground. As the gas comes through the vent, Lizzie and Remy collapse against each other, and Alan, Beth and Coop slump to the floor. Cyrus is pleased to wake up with the women in his arms, but nobody can remember who they are. Lizzie, who has woken up in Remy’s arms, can’t remember a thing, and believe they must be a couple that was just about to have sex. Alan, Beth and Coop also try to piece it all together and decide that Alan is Beth’s father, and Coop is the father of Beth’s baby. Feisty Ava and Cassie began to fight over a very happy Cyrus. In the middle of wild kisses, Remy and Lizzie instantly pull apart. Remy and Lizzie agree never to mention this again, although it’s clear Lizzie didn’t mind it so much. Members alwaysAMC
Ohhhhhhhh - that AMC episode was GOOD. That episode made me cry! The main reason was the scene where Kendall and Spike are wheeled past each other, each on their way to surgery. Talk about amazing drama - and raw emotion! Between the directing of that scene and Kendall's scream - I was in TEARS. AMC totally deserves a nomination. It was very well directed.
Members Adam
Agreed. Say what you will about All My Children since the cancellation duo took over that episode and that week was one of the best I've seen on AMC since the turn of the decade. Well deserved. Members brimike
And THAT'S why, as much as it doesn't deserve it, I guarantee you there are Emmys in AMC's future. That week was heart-stopping, and brilliantly written, acted and directed. Whatever happened before or after, those are the two episodes AMC needed to definitely score at least a nomination, if not a win.
Members Adam
At least nominations..... its sad, but that is how the emmys work. It explains why GH has won all those best drama awards since 2002.
Members AddictedToSoaps
That GL episode was one of the last ones I actually watched and enjoyed before I stopped watching it. That AMC episode was great as well.
Members MichaelGL
I have to disagree with you there, I hated that episode of GL. If I'm correct it's the one where Remy and Lizzie made out on the floor of the public restroom?
Members AddictedToSoaps
Yup that was the one. The only thing I liked about it was the general plot. It was different, but fun.
