In my experience, CNN usually has the numbers before others. Even if you don't like their people/commentary, they still just have the basic numbers.

I am watching Morning Joe.

I can't believe it.

I have never, in all the years I have watched politics, seen a group of people declare an election over. McCain is getting either talked about negatively or just getting outright blasted.

This thing is NOT over. Wait until the body is in the grave before you start throwing dirt on it.

I asked this a couple of pages back, but didn't get an answer.

As I will be at work when the polls close (since it will be Wednesday here) what would be the best website to watch during the day.

When the Primary's were happening I kept an eye on the CNN website, but it there a better one or should I stick with them?

CNN. Drudge will post exit poll info early, but it is always incomplete, and consistently wrong. He posts it to suppress Democratic turnout and inspire right wing turnout. So watch CNN and don't believe anything until the polls close IMO. If VA goes Obama, it's going to be a good night for Obama.

Nope it's not over. It is funny to watch R's eat their own candidate though.

I believe Barack Obama is the most dangerous, questionable candidate to ever appear on the political scene. His ties to murky figures haven't been fully vetted and the mainstream media has chosen to give him a pass. His most volatile statements are simply ignored.

http://hotair.com/archives/2008/11/03/vide...oal-bankruptcy/

So, he wishes to bankrupt new coal plants? I'm sure that will help the economy...

Then you have his supporters making statements like, "If Obama loses it will spark the second American Civil War. Blood will run in the streets, believe me."

It's utter craziness.

Obama won't answer questions and he has kicked off his plane reporters who won't drink his Kool-Aid and has stated that he won't answer ANY questions until after Election Day. What is he hiding?

And I have never seen a candidate be so smart, yet know so little -- his illegal "Auntie", his dirt-poor Kenyan relatives, Acorn, William Ayers, Reverend Wright and Father Pfleger... It's amazing how ties are so obviously strong to these people, yet he knows NOTHING about the things they do, where they are, what they've said, etc.? HUH? You've got to be kidding!

And the fact that the world's terrorist have embraced and endorsed Obama should speak volumes about his socialist agenda, lack of foreign policy experience, and generally poor judgement with regard to who he has cavorted with. With all of these issues before us, I can safely say that, should Obama be elected, he will NOT be a president I will ever support. There are some very grim days ahead for America under an Obama presidency...

It is funny.

Well, we all only have one day left of this BS. Then.....we can look forward to 2012, and that campaign will begin November 5th, 2008.

Another day, another gimmick. Republicans are digging out every possible turd they can find to fling and seeing what will stick on Barack Obama's wall -- and so far, no luck. Earlier this weekend they were peddling a dumb smear about Barack Obama's aunt being an illegal immigrant who had been ordered deported.

But there's one little problem with that tale: As the Washington Post reports, the release of that information was a violation of confidentiality laws for immigrants seeking asylum:

Federal privacy law restricts U.S. immigration agencies from disclosing information about citizens and permanent residents, and DHS policy similarly limits disclosures about the status of legal and illegal immigrants. Asylum-seekers are granted greater protection, because of the sensitive nature of their claims and the risks of retaliation.

In a statement, a spokeswoman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said the matter has been referred to the agency's Office of Professional Responsibility and its parent department's inspector general.

"They are looking into whether there was a violation of policy in publicly disclosing individual case information," ICE spokeswoman Kelly Nantel said. "We can't comment on individual cases."

As Kyledeb at Citizen Orange observes:

There are very specific confidentiality laws around asylum cases. Why? Because it could be dangerous to disclose information about potential asylee. It could result in their further persecution. This is true, of course, even after an asylum case is closed because then there would be a huge disincentive not to apply for asylum.

... In other words, while nativists are screaming "ILLEGAL" at the top of their lungs and "progressives" are refusing to defend unauthorized migrants, it appears that everyone's lost sight of who the real "ILLEGAL" is. That "federal law enforcement agent" broke U.S. immigration law. Perhaps the anonymous source should be deported?

Of course, at this point, the GOP seems to believe it has nothing to lose; after all, any investigation will be too late to do anything about it.

And the intent is obvious: Scare those white suburbanite undecideds with the notion that Obama is going to open the floodgates to Scary Brown People. In a related vein, the GOP hopes to revive the wingnut conspiracy theory that Obama's being elected with a foreign donor base.

But talk about deja vu all over again. Back in 1992, GHW Bush's operatives were caught illegally riffling through Bill Clinton's passport files and disclosing the information therein. Of course, the Republican operative -- Joe DiGenova -- appointed as "independent counsel" to investigate the matter rather predictably found no serious lawbreaking had occurred.

This time, they shouldn't be permitted to get away with it.

Wait a minute.

Did Sarah Palin actually think that a French Canadian radio host was the Prime Minister of France?!

Are you serious?!

^^I wouldn't be surprised.

A few weeks ago she didn't even know what the Vice Presidents duties were.

If you replace the words Barack Obama with Sara Palin, then ICAM.

His ties to murky figures haven't been fully vetted and the mainstream media has chosen to give him a pass.

Actually dozens if not hundreds of articles have been written about it where the reporters have intensely investigated the situations; if anything I think the media has put too much negative criticism and some have exaggerated the situations to make Obama seem worse and not have called out McCain's hypocrisy for his negative ties, oftentimes with the same organizations and people.

So, he wishes to bankrupt new coal plants? I'm sure that will help the economy...

McCain and Obama have similar views on coal - from reading the article it just shows what liars and hypocrites the GOP is - don't get me wrong - all politicians are to some degree but the GOP takes it to a disgusting and incomprehensibly malevolent level that has made me lose complete and total respect and trust for them:

http://www.jedreport.com/2008/11/ohios-gop...ccain-will.html

Then you have his supporters making statements like, "If Obama loses it will spark the second American Civil War. Blood will run in the streets, believe me." It's utter craziness.

So all his supporters think that or just a few crazies like there are on the McCain side - although I do think that McCain has more who drank the crazy kool-aid of Rush Limbaugh and other conservative talk radio hosts, Fox News, the Druge Report and several others. But, if you believe that then I guess you better vote for Obama.

Obama won't answer questions and he has kicked off his plane reporters who won't drink his Kool-Aid and has stated that he won't answer ANY questions until after Election Day. What is he hiding?

Apparently nothing. If he was hiding something they would not have been on his plane in the first place - it's my understanding that they were just recently replaced by other reporters who I assume were guaranteed a space the last weekend of the election. BTW, Obama just did an interview with Katie Couric this weekend - he talks about his Aunt's situation so you know it is VERY recent - check it out on CBS News tonight. Where exactly did you read that he he won't answer ANY questions until after Election Day - could it be the place where you also read these other biased or just plain wrong "facts"?

There are some very grim days ahead for America under an Obama presidency.

I thought that there would be very grim days ahead for an America under a Bush presidency but I was willing to give him a chance and unfortunately I was proven right twice. If he is elected, at least give Obama a chance to prove you right (or wrong).
