Barack Obama Elected President!

I personally feel Obama can be "smeared" more, but I doubt McCain will allow too much of that too happen, unlike the Dems.

I would venture to guess that the possible first woman nominee or first black nominee would not point out age as a factor....that would be hypicritical to them and I am sure backfire, even if people think it.

Even though McCain I am sure wishes he never said 100 years at war, we all know this war on terror will probably go on longer than any of us will be around, so esstentially he is right, but probably a poor choice of words.

They were pushing for Romney because McCain can cut in to their base and Romney could not. Hillary on the other hand could reinforce the Repub base...plain and simple, but I think Obama could too....no experience, no plans, no accomplishments....easier than fighting Hils as far as I can see!

As for Roman....I did not generlize, I would never say ALL dems are liberal morons who do not care about the country or its security.

I would say CERTAIN ones do not....and I would assume that people like Nancy and Betty don't run because they did not want too, the others are dead...would make it too hard for them.

TO say all repubs hate science, love war etc is really a cheapshot. PLain and simple.

If we as a country vote on a more likeable person and a better talker....boy are we doomed as a country.

After all hillarys wins last night she is still trailing obama 1,520 delegates to hillarys 1,424. I'm gonna assume that all the delegates numbers aren't in yet, but she is still far from beating obama those numbers look similar to the numbers prior to last night.

But what you have to remember here is this is alot different than the Republican process.

Most of those were winner take all contests, just like the election will be in the fall. The Dems screwed up with this system and are now fighting each other just like they will with the Michigan and Florida contests.

how stupid to put a state like Michigan, which has the highest unemployment and worst budget problems through this. We as taxpayers paid $10 million dollars for an election that the Dems blew off, now we will be asked to pay for another "make up" election to make it fair.

Whatever, give Hill the votes.

Clinton has a HUGE fighting chance especially since the delegates get divided and the super delegets come into play.

To ask her to quit, while encouraging Huckabee who had a snowballs chance in hell of winning, is very off the mark and unfair.

Erica Kane...I appreciate your posts, very insightful and they make sense!

Now we will see if Barack can take a punch and come back fighting.

What I feel he must do is show that he is a tough canidate. Not neccesarily get nasty, but show the Clinton camp and everyone around the country that he can fight back at negative attacks, but their are many millions of people who want to see if he will just cower and fade away, or show what kind of person he is.

I also feel that he does have to start giving some specifics about his plans for the economy and foreign policy, because I feel many are starting to get bored by the great speeches that have no substance to them.

But what he really has to do is use Hillary and Bill's 8 years in the WH against them. Great economic times and no wars (which you can't say about the current admin.) but he needs to get to the down and dirty stuff BTS while putting on the good face for the people.

It'stime for him to start being a politician.

now that is a great post Roman....and thats what I have been saying all along about him.

Thats all he is is words now...he has nothing else to offer...

He needs to show that he has ideas and he can think like a president.

Watch him when he gets any policy question....he stumbles, says "um" alot.

He needs to be more like Clinton and just fire back...even if your answer sucks, it seems like you have ideas and have it laid out...he has failed to do that.

I am not surprised to see him fading slightly becuase of this.

Both he and Clinton are drawing higher negative numbers not only because of their cat fight, but because he is failing to be anything more than a mouthpiece.

Oh, I'm out of touch. That's why Bush extended his tenure for a second term on the strength of gay marriage fear mongering. Because of me. Conservatives were bloodthirsty for a war that had nothing to do with avenging the murders committed on 9/11. But no, they can't be trigger happy psychos. HELLO, we're talking about a group that irrationally props its special brand of domination, either by corporations or military force.

Mulder, it is not bad to agree with people.

I honestly think McCain would have an easier time beating Obama than Hilary.

But it will be another close one either way I think.

McCain is not a bad guy, look how many conservatives HATE the thought of him being in there that they would actualyl vote for Hillary,...come on, that is not being another W.

Like it or not, the military and wars and so on will be an issue for many many years to come.

We will be fighting the war on terror for the remainder of our lives..or else 9-11 will keep happening until there is nothing left.

I think the McCain CLinton battle would be much more entertaining than the McCain Obama battle...experience vs. experience is alot better than experience vs. wind bag!

And stenbexck..in your view..every republican or person who voted for W is that person you characterize.

So all Dems or those who vote for dems are big government, tax tax tax politicians who would rather have us get attacked in our own country and protect the rights of terrorists, tree hugging SOB's?

I do not think that, but I guess if we go by your way of thinking.......it must be true?

I voted for W and I make no apologies for it. But I never wanted an amendment for gay marriage, I think stem cell reserach is a positive thing, etc......

You do not have to be fully against or fully for someone to know right from wrong and wrong from right.

Out of touch? I do believe you are with comments like that.

Sorry

No, I never provided my definition of the democratic agenda. None of those things would be in it though.

So if you know right from wrong, how are you confident in your decision to vote for Bush? HE doesn't even know right from wrong! One thing I'm not out of touch with is my own rationale.

Obama is screaming the math isn't there for Hillary, well it ain't there for you either. No one is going to get the number of delegates required to secure the nomination. Either the super delegates are going to decide this thing or some sort of deal has to be worked out. A Clinton/Obama ticket.... which is what it should have been in the first place.
