I think the photos are real and I also think it doesn't matter. Pictures like those of Palin's daughter could have been taken of me (With the notable exception of the ones with the guns) when I was 17. She does have good taste in rum, but that is still not a good enough reason for me to support her mother for vice president   .

You know on media bias, I think newspapers do a good job. I really do. I also think people know that when they read certain pages, it's news, when they read other pages, it's opinion and when they read other pages it's entertainment. All that is blurred with the television media. I can't stand Bill O'Reilly, but isn't he supposed to be a opinion columnist? I'm stunned about Chris Matthews and KO. I always knew they were opinion columnist. They weren't supposed to be fair.

You can't tell anymore with television "news." They go so hard for the entertainment value.

That being said, I personally give CNN a lot of credit. They are the only news outlet -- or for that matter any media outlet -- that is investing any effort at all looking into who Sarah Palin is. Good for them. The news media has a responsibility to investigate all of these candidates and to not be bullied into doing otherwise.

Had the media done it's job, at least we would have gone into the war in Iraq with full knowledge. I think the American public would have supported President Bush had he said he thought the country should remove the tyrant from office, but that is another thread.

Oh also, Wchick, I didn't have time to back through all the threads. I assume we still disagree about most things. But man, the gators did kick butt the other night -- we agree on that. :P

Thanks. Whether they are fake or not, I don'[t think they have any relevance to the campaign. I thought Bristol was a brunette? Or is that one of Sarah's other children? Too many to keep count! If she became President would the White House have bedrooms for all of them?

Bristol is a normal teenager who likes to get drunk and have sex.........

End of discussion. I did read today Palin is going to do a one on one interview with Charlie Gibson... taped, but at least an interview none the less.

Why is the McCain camp. so afraid to turn this woman loose???

I just saw on CNN a story about Palin's church. One of her minister's said that anyone who voted for Kerry will go to hell   A visiting minister said that the Jews were bad people. Hmmm, does any one think that Sarah Palin should have to answer the same questions that Obama had to answer???

I guess Great will do a similar story from Alaska tomorrow when she isn't blowing smoke up Palin's ass. OK, I know there is no way that Greta will do anything but a puff piece on Palin.

That is what bothers me. Send reporters to do news stories not these talking hacks. Why was O'Reilly interviewing Obama instead of Brett Hume?

Let the columnists have opinions and let the news folks report.

I would have to agree with that. Many of the attacks on him were patently false and the campaign did nothing to combat them. Hopefully the same thing won't befall Obama.

I just saw Obama's new ad about McCain's "maverick" status (Bob Scheiffer called him a "maverick" on The Early Show this morning <_< ) and it's good. It addresses that most of McCain's advisors have been in Washington for years and it also shows SP's flip-flop on the bridge to nowhere. Good for them.

Well, no surprise for me. I'm a LIBERAL. And damn proud of it! :D:D:D

"LIBERALS usually embrace freedom of choice in personal matters, but tend to support significant government control of the economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net" to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations, defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles."

I would have to say looking at the polls and the news coverage over the past two weeks that McCain made the better choice as VP. I was wrong when I said women would see through the pallin pick as trying to rally the hillary supporters because the polls indicate otherwise they are flocking to pallin. White women voters prefer McCain to obama 53% to 40 %, that is a huge lead, considering obama had been leading in that category for months. The media has made this woman a victim by investigating every inch of her life and I think that has more than anything to do with McCain's lead. I think obama wanted Biden to be his pitbull and attack the GOP, if he attacks pallin its gonna back fire.imo Pallin is no hillary because she is more likeable and isn't polarizing like hillary, so obama's hillary tactics won't work either. I think obama's camp maybe in trouble.

I don't know why O'Reilly did the interview instead of Brit Hume. If I were Obama, I would have specified that I would only speak to the news anchor. It doesn't make sense for him to go on attack television. Personally I wish ALL the candidates would frost out all the commentators and only do business with actual reporters. Let the commentators do their thing with the sound bytes from "real" interviews.

I'm sorry. I do have an issue with Americans that believe Sean Hannity and Larry King are news reporters. They are not.

And Jess- I'm a Georgia fan but I make a point of watching any SEC game on television so I was watching that game. I get chills everytime an SEC team plays out of conference and chants "SEC SEC SEC". I love it! Harvin looked good for you guys.

Most definitely she should have to answer those questions. Without a doubt. Do you think that the media would have went soft on Hilary were she to have been chosen to run with Obama? I don't think so.

Every aspect of this woman's life should be examined, IMO, with no 'deferment' given to her simply because she's new in the public eye. Of course, that tactic could very well backfire and the Repubs will cry that the media is 'biased' and 'sexist'. Then the MSM will cave to the Repub tactics and they will start painting SP as a victim. It's pathetic.

The double standard with which the MSM scrutinizes Repubs v. Dems is glaringly obvious to anyone following this election.
