I think it made a difference in Texas. McCain will carry Texas in the fall with about 57 percent of the vote unless something really strange happens. I don't know about other states. If it is open primaries, I think republicans probably voted for Clinton to keep the race going.

Rush just needs to shut up, he is full of hot air. Basically this democrat race isn't over, obama didn't make any head way and neither did hillary the numbers will still be the same obama leading her by over 130 delegates. The only thing that can help them right now is picking up superdelegates.

Yeah you are right. It would take a lot of people voting to even add up to 1 percent. I doubt it made much of a difference.

Rush has become shamelessly racist. I can't believe any one thinks what he is doing now is funny.

I just can't believe that some Republican leader has not stood up and said that Rush's racist comments do not reflect the opinions of the Republican Party. I would think a lot more of McCain or President Bush if they would tell Rush in front of the world to STFU. That would be moral leadership.

I think what she should do is recognize that for her, this election is over. In my opinion, she has emerged as a political force independent of Bill Clinton. It would seem that her best strategy would be determine how she can use her own standing now to emerge as a leader who can accomplish her own agenda. She is a very strong advocate for women, for health care and many other key areas. She also is a strong advocate of getting us out of the war. Regardless if she plays her hand right she can emerge as a key voice for the party and perhaps a statesman. She can use her new standing to really accomplish a lot in regard to her own priorities. In doing so, she certainly establishes herself as a leader and opens the door for another campaign. So I think now is a good time for her to figure out what she needs to do to make sure that she is a force into the future and that she is able to use that to accomplish her policy goals.

I guess she can keep tilting at windmills, but this election is over for her.

Well who knows about Oregon at this point but the polls were wrong about NC since it seems like he's going to win by 14% and she's currently up by only 4% in IN. Even if she increases her lead when they're done counting, it's unlikely that she'll get anywhere near a double digit lead.

I guess they were accurate or at least more accurate than whatever poll you were saying was more accurate.

CNN is saying this race is too close to call, if obama ends up winning this like he did with Missouri when they were really close, this will be a big upset. ITA to everything Jess said, I think hillary should just call it a day, she's is not gonna win this election, obama lead is too big and I seriously doubt the SD's are gonna place their votes behind someone that is in second place. I won't be surprised tomorrow if obama gains alot more SD's. I'm still open to hillary being VP, but I don't think obama is open to that.

I don't know.

The party may want that, and it maybe a concession from him, but I KNOW he doesn't want to do that. It truly depends. But.......he better not cut his throat for her. In order to save her legacy, she needs him......

He doesn't need her.

    • What Dan Curtis never seemed to understand -- and what Art Wallace knew from the get-go -- is that a slow, suspenseful build-up creates a far more satisfying episode than the constant "cliffhangers" that never amounted to much.  ("I'm going to kiillll you, Julia!" before every commercial break, lol.)

    • Watch and form your own point of view; even in its flaws, this soap is soaping.
    • The show is excellent in my opinion.  There are a couple of less-than-stellar actors and a couple of bad storylines, but otherwise it's awesome and I watch many of the episodes twice.  However, episode #55 from May 19 was really bad, which is where you popped into the thread, but it was the *first* really bad episode.  So 54 great episodes out of a total of 55 episodes is pretty good, in my opinion!  I haven't seen today (#56) yet, but I hear it's good.  Will watch in a couple of hours.
    • LOL!  Yes, very much so.  Better episode today than yesterday. TMG really is a gift.
    • Hopeful that Tracy can prove her innocence

    • I remember this being in the soap press at the time, they were going to be focused on rebuilding the Bauers, Reardons and Spauldings..and we saw they kind of just created a new Reardon (Chelsea when Nola was always supposed to be the youngest) a new Bauer with an offshoot of the main family,(Johnny) so I am sure they were going to do the same with Alan. New writers may have changed all that..(Long later brought  back Amanda for the Christmas episodes...leading into Alex/Phillip dethroning Alan.) I thought Poser should play an different character then Amanda...maybe an adopted daughter. We know Alan had a woman who he lived with in San Rios, they could have had her die and to pay her back for saving his life he adopts her daughter and trains her in all the ways to be a Spaulding. He pays a debt and he has a secret weapon to unleash on the family when he needed to so he keeps in his back pocket.

date: Tuesday, May 20 | Ron Carlivati, Cheryl L. Davis | Shelley Curtis Pack up your crap, Derek. And take that hideous chair with you, but don't throw out the food! We know you have a particular habit of doing that. Anita being nervous about Tracey's arrival is cute, and I love that Vernon joined her. I'm just hoping Sharon will join them soon. Tomas and Eva keep getting ... teased! I appreciate him filling her in on what happened with Dana and Katherine. Dana, what in the world are you working at?! If I saw you with your evil smiles in my hospital room as I woke up, I'd be questioning what nightmare I was existing within. I appreciate the continued evolution of Tomas' backstory and where he's come from. It sounds familiar to what I've heard from others, so it's nice that true history can be nodded to. Derek, there is no way in Hell Jacob and/or Naomi want your stank-gross behind crashing on their couch. Katherine better be careful; she keeps intercepting Dana at all of these places, and if she is not careful, she may become the primary target of her plans. Dante Greene? Is he the Barry Gordy Jnr of the story? I appreciate that Tracy has some genuine feelings towards Anita and their past history. But I appreciate that she is at least open-minded to reuniting with Anita on a personal basis; it'll be interesting to see how Sharon reacts when she arrives (I am guessing). Not the wig washing. Dana's personalities and wigs must be an ongoing gag. But good on Eva for calling her out about being falsely accused of running Laura off of the road. I've said it once, and I will say it again: Katherine should be a detective, because her instincts are sharper than sharp. Notes: Can we stop having the male actors on this show sitting on tables? It's such a pet peeve of mine. Like, chairs exist for your backside to sit on, not tables where we EAT! The top they have Tamara Tunie (Anita) in would annoy the frick out of me if that flower kept hitting me in my chin. I'd be pulling that crap off immediately.
