I did too, but apparently Bloom's been actively involved with Y&R for a good while now. I hear Latham going to Y&R was Bloom's idea.

I guess it's good that they see Y&R needs an EP change, however, why must she go for someone like JHC?

I guess Sony just says OK to whatever Bloom wants...

Well, I guess Sony just wants to please the customer.

But JHC?

How can they look at Port Charles, look at AMC (one dead, one dying) and say "Hey! That's what we want at the rapidly falling #1 soap! We wanna be just like Port Charles!".

I know they want her for the cost-cutting she can do (she cut Port Charles down to a six-month production schedule). But I'm increasingly dismayed at what seems to be Barbara Bloom running on croneyism...all her buddies from Port Charles. That is NOT the way to run a network.

Hey...slightly off topic...Bloom got a writers credit on several LML episodes of Y&R (most notably to me was "Nick van Winkle", when Nick learned about Cassie's death during his memory loss period). Does anyone know WHY she was credited? Was she fixing LML's messes, or was she getting some minimum # of episodes to maintain some WGA status, or what?

You are great, JP. I should have known.....

For me, because of her history on so many shows, it is Carolyn Culliton I'm most excited to see. Now I'd like to see a pic of her WITH Richard. I actually really enjoyed his brief era at AW.
