Meanwhile, they keep bringing back characters (Iris, Simon, even Colonel Mayer) who are short-term pot-stirrers, at best; but they can't find enough money to keep Larry Bryggman OR a decent storyline for Eileen Fulton (or Ellen Dolan & Scott Holmes)?

I don't think 'Lacey' is a love interest for Paul. I heard that Lacey is really Lucy. Paul will still be mourning the loss of his son, I'm sure, for a while. And I'm sure he'll be wanting to fix his relationship with Meg. Then he'll find out that his mom has cancer. I think Paul is going to persuade Lucy to let Barbara see her long-lost grandson and Lucy will agree because of Barbara's cancer.

I don't want it to be a Rosanna recast, but Cady's blog did raise a red flag on this front. Hmmm. It could be Lucy, but why recast her now that Dusty is leaving?

Lucy would have a LOT of issues to work out with Craig in regards to Johnny; and Craig is going to need a new s/l, because he'll never be in Meg's life again after trying to kill she and Paul's son. So maybe that's how they'll keep Craig busy for a while.

I so hope it is not Lucy Bring back the original or don't even bother in that respect, plus I don't get the point with Dusty out.

I really doubt it's a Lucy recast, but think it could possibly be a Rosanna recast. It's very possible they had actually asked Cady to stay and go on into another story and she only wanted to do the story she had originally committed to do. She may not have wanted to stay past Feb. even if the story changed. That may be why she mentioned a recast. I do think there is still plenty of story for Rosanna. One way or another they are going to need another female that can be involved with either Craig or Paul and obviously that rules out Lucy, so I doubt it is her.

I would be curious to know what the script is and just how "Lacey" interacts with Paul?

I agree that there really isn't a point in Lucy returning now with Johnny. He would still be the age where they don't like to show kids. I think it will be a few more years and then an aged Lucy returns with a teen Johnny. I also think there will probably be a Barbara/Craig fight over Johnny if Dusty isn't around when he returns and with Barbara starting another story, it's not likely they would give her 2 stories now.

From what I saw the Lucy rumor started since somebody supposedly saw Peyton List at the ATWT studio. I highly doubt that she would be returning and if she was even there may have been stopping by to say hello since her family lives in the east.

I hope this Casey is good. I loved Zach Roerig's Casey. One of the most real soap teens ever.

I agree, I found Casey's attitude exactly like a teenager's attitude would be. Hate what they ended up doing to the character though.
