You and I seem to be on the same wavelength. When I first read the question, it seemed to be a comparison between EJ/James and Lucas/Bryan...who should stay and who should go? I automatically wonder why either has to go...especially since there are only a handful of characters in that age range on the show. What I'm really finding interesting is how the question changed during the posts and became all about Sami...which one of these guys should be with her.

Yes, I do believe we are. imo Days is sorely lacking when it comes to the lucas/sami/ej and bell/shawn/phillip (and now chloe) age groups. There are enough of the older vets and more than enough of the younger set, but the mid/late 20 whatevers have had too many characters leave (and not be replaced). The sami group might not annoy people so much if they'd toss a couple or three characters into the mix - and regardless ITA that it wouldn't make sense for either to go.
