October 31, 200718 yr Member Yup, the Katie/Jack romance is just awful. What moron thought of it? They could have paired Jack with anyone else on the show and I would have been happier. And there is still a good possibility that Katie and Jack could still wind up together..ughhhhhh!! Bite YOUR tongue!!!! Does anyone on staff realized Brad hasn't gotten any action this entire year? (At least on-screen nookie...) Somehow I doubt Lil Miss Peretti (lol...she's not a Snyder anymore...) will let him escape from her clutches. I have hope some kind of Carjack reunion is in the works...no doubt after another HUGE blowout. Bless you for sticking with B&B....I think it's been horrible. Not as horrible as it was this spring, with Rick and Pheebs being shoved down our throats, but not good.
October 31, 200718 yr Author Member I almost wonder if the reduced "workforce" has taken out some of the chefs out of the kitchen, so to speak. Laiman (and I'm not sure of her official writing title) is the only one of those writers listed, Brash and Levinson moved up to breakdowns, yadda yadda. Maybe all the writing by committee muddied the plots too much? It makes me wonder who is in charge. Funny how Brash nor Levinson have written a script so far. It's only been Culliton and Dansby. If actors are being let go I hope it is the following: Gwen(gawd I have tired of her), Sofie(no point in having her on the show) and Cole(or whatever his name is....he is useless as well). I hope Will(J.S. stays). I think there is so much story for him without Gwen. The quad story just needs to end. Howarth needs to be fired. And the rest of the 3 need to have their own story away from this mess of a story.

It's definitely not perfect, but ::gasp::, it's much more interesting than any CBS soap these days. Had it been an hour long as well, I probably wouldn't be watching. CBS Daytime needs a creative overhaul, from top to bottom.
October 31, 200718 yr Author Member ^I agree PJ, ATWT is one big clusterfuck, much like its neighbours on the CBSD lineup. I'm no longer watching any soap, except for B&B. Unless changes are made, I won't be tuning into Y&R, ATWT, and GL anytime soon. Why do you continue to post if you dont watch anymore?
October 31, 200718 yr Member Why do you continue to post if you dont watch anymore? Because, deep down, I care and it's just sad to see these shows the way they are. If all 4 CBS soaps were canceled tomorrow though, I probably wouldn't feel anything. They've been too bad for too long.

I think the reason B&B still does well is because it uses its vets: Stephanie, Ridge, Brooke, Taylor. But it gets repetitive having Bradley tell the same story over and over again. But you are always guaranteed to see the vets on. Edited October 31, 200718 yr by Soapsuds
October 31, 200718 yr Member Remember that brief moment in 2002, when all 4 CBS soaps were on fire and fantastic? I miss those days, and promos like these! :(
October 31, 200718 yr Member >> "There's been talk of extensive rewrites on stories and there are rumors of cast changes (meaning exits) in the works." Well, how about a little less talk, and a lot more action?
October 31, 200718 yr Member sucks to be Cady to return to her shows at the worst time when they are going throguh a period of horrible writing
