Do you (or did you) watch telenovelas?

I don't get it.

Three sisters were the main protagonists. The evil sister, Maria Paula, always used to touch her eyebrow like that with her finger... in the finale, Maria Paula died, but at the very end - when her sister Maria Guadalupe was watching the photos with her man, she did the exact same move with the eyebrow, and the show ended at that moment, leaving the viewers with the question as to which sister actually died.

BTW, CassieFan, did you watch Eterna Magia and Começar de Novo, for which Elizabeth Jhin was the head writer?

And how about Cobras & Lagartos?

I have those three novelas on DVD, however I only watched a few episodes of both Cobras & Lagartos (Snakes and Lizzards) and Eterna Magia (Eternal Magic).

Cobras was OK, but I expected more. Mariana Ximenes and Daniel di Oliveira (protagonists) had great chemistry, but they were dull. The biggest star of Cobras was Milu (Marilia Pera). Joao Emanuel Carneiro was the author but his other novela "Da Cor do Pecado" was much, much better.

I only saw the first episode of Comecar de Novo. It had a lot of similarities with "The Count of Montechristo".

OK; I thought you watched them so you might provide some insight how this one from Elizabeth will be like, but I guess we shall see. :)

<span style="font-size:10.5pt;">Dr. Ricardo Aguilla, a powerful man, looses his only son, the young Daniel, in an accident. After some time, he discovers that the boy had frozen his semen before dying. From that moment, he goes on a search for the "ideal woman", worthy to be inseminated and become the mother of his grandson. But destiny is about to play a practical joke on him. When the insemination is finally done and the young woman chosen and impregnated — the poor and humble Viviane — Ricardo will find himself hopelessly in love with her.

Nope :( Sorry.

I am currently watching the final episodes of "Caras & Bocas". One of the best Brazilian novelas in years. After that I'll be catching up with Viver a Vida and Cama de gato.

Well, I know the general consensus here seems to be that it sucks, but I just started watching my first telenovela, Ciudado Con El Angel. It's not half bad. I'm only on ep5 though. I'm gonna watch La Mentira next cause it sounds really good.
