OMG BELISSIMA! I would DIE if I could just find a subtitled version, somewhere, so that I can watch it properly from beginning to end! I regretted it SO badly that I stopped watching.

I loved Belissima. The mystery, the drama, great music, great actors. A true masterpiece of Rede Globo.

I didn't pay much attention to Christel Khalil's whining about wearing a bald wig for her cancer storyline, but what would she say on this?

On Brazilian novela "Caras & Bocas" (Faces and Mouths), Tatiana, played by Rachel Ripani, has breast cancer. Knowing that her beautiful, red hair will fall out, she decides to cut it off with the help of her mother-in-law Esther. Here is the scene:

The real thing is that the actress REALLY cut off her hair for the sake of that storyline.

Boo, we got Telemundo a few months ago, and I figured I'd try some of their telenovelas out because of the English captions on CC3, but it seems they don't do those anymore? Or am I just not doing it right?

I don't know, I kinda like Brazilian soaps, except that often they seem a bit... Dumb. There's a layer of something that's missing and I'm not yet able to define what it is.

"Sturm der Liebe" has yet again changed their main couple. Following Emma (Ivanka Brekalo) and Felix's (Martin Gruber) marriage, Sandra (Sarah Stork) and Lukas (Wolfgang Cerny) have become the show's new lead characters.

I have been thinking of ESMERALDA the last couple of days... it's been many, many years since I last saw it, but it was part of the "Latin Mania" about a decade ago in Greece... LA USURPADORA, ESMERALDA, MARIA LA DEL BARRIO and tons more would play simultaneously and I just adored them. Checking out some of the episodes online and I do have to note they had amazing, touching music. And, greatest of all I think was the romance of Adrian and Graciela. So tragic.... did they ever get together in the end? For some reason I believe they never did, even though they wanted it more than anything else in the world. Did she kill herself? It was so heartbreaking. And they had that theme that would always play over their scenes. So heartbreaking....

I have no idea! I don't even know if I watched that!

Are there still Mexican imports in Greece?

I think there's only one novela playing right now, MARINA. I'm not sure which country's it is, though.
