September 19, 200718 yr Member I don't remember Hogan ever writing an incest story on ATWT, Douglas Marland did, but I don't recall Hoggie. But my thing is that Hogan talked about this pairing when he joined and was not a fan of it! Yes, Marland was the one behind the Angel incest story, but I was in jest referring to Holden and Lily, which Marland started too but of course Sheffer continued to write to them Edited September 19, 200718 yr by soapfan770
September 19, 200718 yr Member this seems very similiar to B&B right now putting Rick with Phoebe who happens to be his niece. Thats just nasty and even if they arent blood related, they were raised as family their entire lives and are still in the same familyI was just gonna say that. But Phoebe isn't Rick's niece really. They were raised that way, but then it turned out Rick and Ridge wern't brothers. I still think it's way groose with both Phoebe & Rick and Stephanie & Max. But then again, it's the soap business... I must say i don't think this is Hogan's work though. It smells Corday all the way. Edited September 19, 200718 yr by Cheyenne
September 19, 200718 yr Member It is icky but DAYS has a LONG history of this even in its glory years when Bill Bell really shaped the show incest (more and more extreme) was his big angle--and that didn't leave when he left
September 19, 200718 yr Member I do like Max with Stephanie, but I'd prefer him with Billie. Max & Stephanie are not related by blood, it is icky since he's her uncle via adoption.
September 20, 200718 yr Member I really don't have much of an opinion of Max & Stephanie. I just don't care for the 20-something scene on this show right now. That said, familial relations aren't only between people who are biologically related, it's a relation that's created socially. The fact that Max & Stephanie think of each other as uncle and niece and Max has known Stephanie since she was a wee tot and now they're getting all romantic is kinda icky.
October 5, 200718 yr Member What is with all these incest-laden (blood/adoptive/marriage relations) stories in daytime? The past 10 years alone have feautured a lot of them. Is it a way to "shock and awe" the audience? Well, it aint workin'. It's disgusting. Was Sheffer told to write this story? If so, by whom?
October 6, 200718 yr Member I always forget that there is a "family" relationship there, because we didn't watch Max grow up a Brady and we didn't really SEE the Bradys raise him. Plus there's no blood link, so I don't see what the big deal is.
